WINTER'S POV The next morning was really weird. I don't know what specifically made me feel that way, but I could feel Kaden becoming more distant. For the four days we've spent together, I've rarely seen him on his phone, but here he was, typing away like something was eating away at him. "Is something going on?" He was even on his phone at breakfast. It was really weird. Breakfast was the time Kaden paid the most attention to me. He would nag and nag until I finished everything Isa kept plying me with. Yet, here he was, barely eating. "Why do you say that?" He hadn't even looked up at me. "You've been on your phone all morning, Kaden!" I realized that my tone came out snappier than I intended because his head jerked up. That got him to look up at me with a guilty smile on his face.
