KADEN'S POV
I regretted the second the words left my mouth, and I wished I could take it back instantly, but the damage had been done already. The look on her face was one I couldn't describe. It was a mix of everything.
"What did you just say?"
"Look, forget it. I'm sorry for keeping it from you."
"No, I need you to repeat what you just told me."
"No, Winter." I wasn't going to make myself vulnerable again. "I'm not going to repeat myself."
"Kaden, you honestly think I'm going to leave you for Jane?" She sounded confused as f*ck.
"No," I huffed, "that's not it at all. I'm sorry, okay?"
"But I need to understand what's going on so I can forgive you."
"I don't know, okay?" I groan and drop on the bed. Great, now she probably thinks I'm mad. The bed dips beside me, and I feel her
