"Did you call my wife like I asked?"
"Yes, Boss." I could tell he was somehow miffed by that question, but there was nothing he could do about it. I checked my watch. My guest should be arriving soon, and it would be rude to keep him waiting.
"Did my wife tell you when she would be getting here?" I asked Damon again through the intercom.
"No, Boss. I did stress to her how important it was for her to get here, though."
"That's good." After the day I have had this morning, I was looking forward to seeing my wife.
Even though I've barely spent five hours at work, it's like I've been here for two days straight. I knew I would be busy today, and I still wasn't prepared, even with that knowledge, it didn't make it any easier.
