"I don't think she has anything up her sleeves." Was the first thing I said to Levine when he walked into my office.
"Good morning to you, too, boss." He dropped a bunch of files on my table. "I have the files you asked for."
"I'll go through them later." I waved a dismissive hand, I was more interested in Winter's behavior. "How can I find out if she's deceiving me or not?"
"I guess my words stuck with you, huh?"
"Yes, I have realized that she's not behaving as she would normally do. Winter has an inner rebel. Her first reaction to being pushed is to push back. I've pushed her quite a lot these past few days, and she hasn't done anything. For instance, I made all the maids stop cozying up to her, and she hasn't said one word about it."
