KADEN'S POV
I was dumbstruck. I should have heeded Levine's idea. That was all I could think of as I watched her rush into the bathroom. I had made her cry. Again.
"Don't tell her, boss. She's not going to take it well. She's better off not knowing if it caused her so much pain." Levine had advised, and like the f**l that I am, I ignored his advice.
I st*pidly hoped she would see my intention. I knew she would be hurt, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I could hear her wails from here, for crying out loud.
I got off the bed and crossed the room to the ensuite bathroom. "Baby, can I come in?"
Her response was swift. "Don't you dare. I can't look at you right now."
