KADEN'S POV
I didn't give her the chance to change her mind the next morning. I drove her to the hospital about an hour before her appointment.
"What if there's a mistake?"
"While mistakes are inevitable, nobody would dare to make any mistakes with you. I'm going to be here the whole time."
"And you'll be there before I wake up?"
"You know it."
She kept bouncing her legs as the hospital came into view. "Relax, baby. You're not alone."
"I know."
"You're going to be fine. The doctor said it was painless. She wouldn't dare lie to me."
"How do you know her, anyway?" She was trying to be nonchalant, but I could hear the strange note in it. My woman was jealous, even though she had no reason whatsoever to be jealous.
"Hope?"
"Even her name is pretty."
