KADEN'S POV
Today could either turn out in two ways, in a bloodbath or in the beginning of a strong and collaborative partnership. For some reason, I was hesitant to leave Winter this morning. Some would even say that I was feeling clingy.
That thought annoyed the hell out of me because the feeling wasn't one I was familiar with. I have never had something I wanted to keep to myself.
"Why do you look so happy?" It came out as a grumble which was the last thing I wanted.
"Nothing," she said, using one hand to cut through her chicken because her other hand was in mine. "Why do you look so gloomy? You don't want to go to work?"
