KADEN'S POV
The words kept ringing in my head. Winter got arrested. She was caught shoplifting. Why the hell does she need to steal? I literally gave her access to half the money in America. The thought was beyond me, it was one I couldn't comprehend.
There's only one logical conclusion to all this. She still thinks she can get away from me.
“Boss?“ Damon speaks up, unsure of what to do. Damon is usually full of ideas and suggestions on how to tackle a given problem, but not today. Tackling my wife's problem is an uncharted territory for him.
“It's fine. Go to your office, Damon. I'm going to handle this.“ He doesn't give me the chance to change my mind. He leaves straight away, glad that he doesn't have to deal with a problem he can't solve.
