CHAPTER 24 : LEAVING THE VACOLNOES

While Bella and Sherla were enjoying their meals, a group of boys approached their seats and Sherla noticed their arrival.

"Why are you guys here? Go away!" Sherla cast them away immediately.

Bella automatically turned around and saw that the Vacolnoes came.

"The other seats are full. Fortunately, here is kinda empty," said Algaz lightly.

Bella and Sherla looked around and saw that almost all of the seats were full except the seats that were nearby.

"May we sit here, Bel?" Frans asked.

Bella nodded and continued her munching.

"Huh? You allow them to eat here?" Sherla was annoyed.

"Relax, Sherla. I just wanna show them that we aren't like people who tend to ostracize someone else," Bella casually said.

"Let's just change the seats, guys," Greg realized that Bella taunted them.

"Nah, I'm here. Bella allowed us anyway," said Algaz.

"You all may sit here but on one condition: don't disturb my peace," said Bella.

"Fine, beautiful," said Algaz while messing with Bella's hair.

The Vacolnoes started to order some food. As the food arrived soon, they ate them without waiting any longer. Nobody talked as they were eating and it felt rather awkward.

"Say," Frans started the conversation, "I heard you were talking about The Cobra. What about them?"

"I told you not to disturb my peace. Mind your own business, okay?" Bella reminded them.

"By the way, why don't you gather with us again?" Greg now asked.

"I've been busy," Bella answered curtly.

"Meh, maybe you're so busy watching the Korean dramas which are full of hot kissing scenes again," said Greg.

During the conversation, Bella was busy playing with her smartphone, she even replied shortly without noticing them whenever the Vacolnoes members asked her something. Marco even pondered whether Bella paid attention to them or not.

"She really doesn't care if we're here…" thought Marco.

COUGH!

Bella suddenly choked on the fries she ate. Algaz and Marco immediately gave her a bottle of water which surprised everyone because they acted so responsively.

"Well well well, what happened here?" Frans asked naughtily.

Bella seemed didn't care about both Algaz and Marco's bottles and drank from her own bottle. Algaz and Marco awkwardly took their bottle back respectively.

"Stupid, don't eat while you're playing on your smartphone!" Sherla scolded Bella.

"Bella, are you alright?" Marco asked with care.

Hearing that, Bella automatically stopped her drinking and looked at Marco decisively.

"Don't pretend you care about me. What do you guys want from me now?" Bella asked while crossing her arms in front of her chest, glaring at everyone around.

"What do you mean?" Algaz asked back.

"If I remember correctly, you all never give a damn about me, right? But now why do you all sooo care about me?" Bella asked as she recalled that in the comic, Bella Jensly was never cared for by the Vacolnoes boys. Now, why did they care anyway?

"I and the rest of Vacolnoes just want to fix our friendship with you, that's all," Marco replied.

Bella was angered by Marco's answer which sounded so casual without any guilt.

"What?! Do you think that fixing a friendship is as easy as flipping a hand?!"

"We're sorry, Bella…"

"Sorry?! Do you think after everything you have done to me, I can forgive you all so easily? NEVER!"

Bella sighed in annoyance. She couldn't forgive the Vacolnoes boys for what they had done to Bella Jensly. If she forgave them so easily, they would think that Bella was still a weakling like she used to be. Bella thought that it was the perfect timing to show them that Bella was a strong girl and could do daily activities without them at all.

"We knew that whatever we have done to you is a mistake," said Frans regretting.

"Good, then."

"Whatever happened, you're still a part of Vacolnoes. You're still our queen," Greg added.

"HAHA, QUEEN?" Bella laughed as she emphasized the ‘queen’ word and she added, "After both of those witches came, you replaced me, did you? Why am I now being your queen again?"

The Vacolnoes boys couldn't help but remain silent because they realized that Bella was on point.

"Bell—"

"Ah, ah!" Bella waved her index finger, "I haven't finished yet. Look, whatever you say, I don't wanna buy it. I am comfortable enough without your existence right now, so please don't bother me even further, okay?" Bella said which pierced the Vacolnoes boys' hearts.

Bella continued, "From now on, I am not a part of Vacolnoes anymore. I'm out!"

The Vacolnoes boys were shocked to hear Bella's resignation.

"You can't do that to us. Whatever happens between us, you are always a part of Vacolnoes."

"Blah-blah-blah, it's clear to me that you bunch of guys are selfish. Listen, this is my life. I can do whatever I want to enjoy my life to the fullest. So please once again don't try to control my life, especially my decision, as you desire. I decide everything by myself and my decision to leave Vacolnoes is final."

Bella stood up immediately and left all the boys right away, followed by Sherla from behind.

Bella sat down as she just arrived at the classroom. The next lesson would begin any moment, but she was desperate about how to learn peacefully as she was still mad at the Vacolnoes boys.

"Aaarrrgghhhh!" Bella messed her own hair frantically, "Why does my life become so miserable?!"

"Calm down, Bella. Life of a beautiful girl is surely tough," said Sherla trying to calm Bella down.

Bella wished that after she left the Vacolnoes, they didn't want to bother her any longer. Let alone with many dramas they made to frustrated her. She was more assured to join The Cobra after today's incident. She just wanted to stay away from The Vacolnoes after she joined The Cobra later.

"Hey, you promise to teach me how to drive a car, right?" Bella asked Sherla.

"Yep, what can't I do to my best friend eh?" Sherla teased her while poking Bella's shoulder.

"Eww, that hurts," said Bella jokingly even though she was still annoyed by the Vacolnoes boys earlier.

Bella added, "After school, let's begin the driving lesson so I'll get the new car as soon as possible."

"Okay okay, but you should accompany me shopping in return," Sherla said.

"Easy peasy."

RING! RING! RING!

The bell rang to sign that the next lesson would begin any minute. Bella quit the conversation with Sherla as she saw the boys come into the class and made awkwardness among them.
