CHAPTER 31 : HAUL

Today is Monday. The day that most of the International La Rose High School students hate. Because every Monday, their school regularly holds worship services, so all students have to come earlier than usual.

Bella who had arrived in front of the school gate, ran as fast as lightning. Indeed, the school gates have not been closed yet, but soon it will be time to gather in the hall for worship together. He ran to his class to put the bag first. Then he ran as fast as lightning into the hall.

Arriving in the hall he looked for his class line. And after finding him, he immediately lined up at the very back, behind Sherla.

"Damn it I'm almost late." Bella said breathlessly.

"Who told you to get up late?" Saut Sherla.

"Where's your Bible?" Sherla asked who saw that Bella didn't bring her Bible.

"Argh! I forgot to bring it, it's still in my bag. Do you think I can go back to class first?"

"Well... you can't," Bella said in a disappointed tone when she saw that the hall door had been closed, it was a sign that the worship service would soon begin.

"Here." Suddenly a hand held out a Bible to Bella.

Bella who saw him lifted his head up, he wanted to see who it was. It turned out to be Marco. Bella was surprised why Marco suddenly handed his Bible to Bella. But Bella pretended to be normal.

"What?" Bella asked.

"Here, take it. Do you want to be punished for not bringing a Bible with you?” Marco said as he took Bella's right hand and handed her the Bible.

"But-"

"Everyone please calm down, we will start worship soon." Said a teacher over a loudspeaker.

Before Bella could protest, Marco had already gone to his line.

"Eww. Really care." said Bella.

"Aa.. so sweet." chirp Sherla.

"Huek!" Bella spontaneously wanted to vomit hearing Sherla's words.

"Eh, if they are nice to you, do you want to join Vacolnoes again?" Sherla asked.

"Ew disgusted. I will never join them again." Bella said quickly.

Bella, who noticed that there were two pairs of eyes staring intently at her, she turned her head towards that gaze. Isha and Rasoline looked at him with disapproving looks. Bella who saw it smiled broadly while showing her thumb, and turned her hand downwards.

“For students who don't bring their Bibles, please line up in the right corner. After worship you will help to tidy up and clean the hall.” There was an interruption from a teacher who would lead the worship.

You can see Marco and the other Vacolnoes moving in line to the right corner.

"How come they can be very compact without bringing a Bible." chirp Sherla.

"Then Marco gave you his Bible again, it's a shame he was punished." Sherla said in a half whisper so as not to be heard by the teacher watching from behind.

"I didn't ask him to give me his Bible, okay?" said Bella in a high pitched voice.

"Hey. Don't make a fuss, we might move to the corner row." Shout Sherla.

"Hey! You."

"Done!" Sherla muttered when she heard the voice of a male teacher behind her.

"What are you guys fussing about? Didn't you hear that worship will start soon?" said the teacher,

"There you guys move to the right corner row!" the teacher's orders.

"But sir—" Before she could protest, Sherla's words were cut off by the teacher.

"No buts, you guys move quickly."

Bella immediately got up from her seat. He was lazy to argue with a teacher, it would only waste time and add to the problem. Sherla also followed Bella who had moved from her seat. They walked to the far right corner of the row. After they arrived, they immediately lined up beside Marco and the rest of the Vacolnoes. All members of the Vacolnoes were shocked to see Bella and Sherla suddenly line up next to them.

"What are you doing here?" Marco asked.

"You know what line this is, right?" said Bella nonchalantly.

"Didn't I already give you the Bible? It's a loss, I'll give you if you end up being punished."

"Sorry. I never asked you to give me your Bible.” Saut Bella while returning Marco's Bible.

"And write it down in your brain. People who sincerely want to help others, will never feel a loss.” Bella said to Marco, which made Marco speechless.

Nothing that lasted for an hour was over. All the students started scattering out of the hall, except for the Vacolnoes members, Bella, and also Sherla. Yes, they will be in charge of cleaning the hall.

“I prefer being asked to clean the hall all day, rather than sitting in class and studying all day.” Sherla said.

"I don't want to. What I have is broken body." Saut Bella.

"You guys sit down. Let us finish it." said Alvin suddenly.

"We? Don't go there." said France.

"No need. We can take responsibility for the task.” Bella answered.

"Yeah, Bella and I were also punished. So we should have cleaned the hall.” Said Sherla added.

Then Bella and Sherla started looking for cleaning tools.

They headed to the small door on the left side of the hall stage. There are various cleaning tools, ranging from brooms, mops, trash cans, polybacks, and others. Bella and Sherla chose to take the broom. Because they have to clean the dust first. Meanwhile the Vacolnoes members tidied up the chairs used by the students and teachers to sit earlier. As well as tidying up cables and other technical tools used for worship earlier.

After an hour they cleaned the hall, which meant one lesson was over. They started tidying up their cleaning tools. Bella who was already wet with sweat lay on the floor of the hall, because her body was very weak and tired. Followed by Sherla who just put the cleaning tool.

"Ahh.. so hot." Bella said as she waved her hands over her face.

"Drink." Suddenly Marco handed Bella a bottle of mineral water.

"No need, I can buy it myself." Saut Bella.

"EH!" Marco's reflex screamed, because the drink he was about to give Bella was snatched away by Sherla.

"Just come here for me, I'm really thirsty. Bella, you don't want it, do you?"

Bella shook her head. After seeing the refusal of Bella. Sherla without any sense of guilt immediately gulped down her drink.

“Ahh… so fresh.” Sherla said after she was satisfied drinking water.

"Damn you Sher!" Marco said annoyed.

"Just go there, join your friends." Throw Bella out.

"Yeah, why are you hanging out with us, we're not your friends."

Marco just resigned himself to not being able to respond to Bella and Sherla's words. When Marco was about to leave, at the same time Greg walked in front of Marco. Greg's body accidentally nudged Marco, and..

Marco fell right on top of Bella. Bella who was surprised by the incident closed her eyes reflexively. Marco quickly supported himself with his hands. Bella, who didn't feel the pain, tried to open her eyes. And now Bella and Marco's eyes met each other.

Marco felt his heart beating really fast and so did Bella.

"Oh, don't let Marco hear my heartbeat." Bella said in her heart.

The Vacolnoes and Sherla members stared at the scene before them with their mouths open. They don't know what to do. Let Bella and Marco enjoy this atmosphere or separate them.

"I want a photo ah.." said Frans.

"Just like that, huh." Saut Algaz.

"Do you feel, what do I feel now?" Marco asked himself, keeping his eyes on Bella.

Suddenly there were footsteps entering the hall. At that moment their eyes stopped staring. Bella and Marco turned reflexively to the hall door, seeing who it was. Everyone's eyes, including Marco,'s eyes widen. Except for Bella, she smiled slyly. Who else would that person be if not Isha? Marco quickly got him up into a standing position.

Isha spontaneously dropped her water bottle, when she saw what was happening in front of her. His face felt hot, and his chest felt tight. He even thought his eyes were tearing up. The tears were already in his eyes, he felt like they were about to run down his face. Without further ado, Isha quickly ran away from that place.

"Even though I'm his girlfriend, but in his heart there is still someone else. I'm not the winner, but that person." Now Isha's tears were streaming down her face.
