CHAPTER 46 : APPLE

Bella glared at Algaz and then ran into the house. She locked herself inside her room and slammed the door shut.

"Why did you do that?" His father asked, "She wants to talk to us."

"It's okay, Father," Algaz said. "I'll go see her later tonight. Can I help you with anything else?"

"No," Algaz' father said.

Algaz helped his parents prepare dinner while Bella sat at the table. She ate quietly without saying a single word to anyone.

After dinner, Algaz walked over to Bella and bent down on one knee.

"I want you to marry me," Algaz said, "Would you like that?"

Bella stared at him blankly.

"Am I boring you? Are you uninterested in marriage?" Algaz asked.

"No," Bella said, "I just thought that you were joking."

"So, are you interested in marrying me?"

Bella looked at him. She had no idea what to say. She knew that the only reason why Algaz was helping her was because he wanted something from her.

"Yes," Bella said.

Algaz smiled. He knew that he could use her love for him to control her.

"Alright," Algaz said. "You can rest in the house for now. I'll teach you more later."

Bella nodded.

"Thank you," she said.

"You're welcome," Algaz replied.

Algaz lifted Bella up and carried her over his shoulder. She tried to escape from him several times, but she couldn't move. Algaz held her tightly against his back.

"Are you sure about this?" Algaz asked.

"I'm positive."

Algaz nodded and carried her over to his car. Once he got there, Algaz placed Bella on the passenger seat. He climbed inside the driver's side and started the engine. He opened the doors and sat next to Bella.

"Turn your head around," Algaz ordered, "and close your eyes."

Bella did as she was told.

"Keep your eyes closed," Algaz said, "I don't want you to see anything."

Bella nodded.

"Now, open your mouth."

Bella did as she was told and opened her mouth. Algaz forced himself inside her mouth.

"Don't fight me," Algaz warned.

Bella bit down on Algaz' tongue and then spit it out. Algaz' blood splattered all over her face and clothes.

"You're disgusting," Bella said angrily, "I won't let you do that to me ever again."

Algaz fell backward and landed on the ground. He coughed and tried to stand up, but he couldn't. His body felt weak. He tried to grab Bella, but she moved away.

"You're going to pay for that," Algaz said.

Bella smiled at him, a look of satisfaction crossing her face.

"I see that you're still alive," she said. "But you're weakening rapidly."

She stared at him and watched as he struggled to breathe.

"You think you're so smart," she said.

Algaz smiled and looked at her. He knew that she was talking about the curse.

"Don't worry," he said, "I'll turn you into my slave soon enough."

Algaz grabbed Bella by her hair and yanked her close.

"Soon, you'll be begging me for s*x!" Algaz said.

Bella couldn't believe what she was hearing. She'd sworn to herself that she wouldn't be controlled by him anymore, but she hadn't expected him to make such a threat.

"You can't do that to me," Bella said.

"As soon as I get bored of you, I'll kill you," Algaz replied.

Bella stared at him and then looked away. She couldn't believe what he'd just said.

"Are you serious?" Bella asked.

"Of course," Algaz said, "I'll kill you as soon as I get tired of you."

"You will never get tired of me," Bella said.

Algaz smiled.

"You think you're so special?" Algaz asked. "Just wait until you're in my power. Then you'll realize how worthless you really are."

"I'm not useless," Bella said, "I'm going to become stronger than you."

Algaz laughed.

"You'll end up dead," he said.

Bella glared at him.

"I won't be your slave forever," Bella said.

Algaz smirked and pulled her closer.

"You're mine. There's nothing you can do about it."

Bella stared at Algaz.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I thought I could handle being your slave."

Algaz grabbed her by the neck and pulled her close.

"You can never betray me again," he said.

Bella sighed and closed her eyes. She knew that she couldn't escape from him. The bond between them was too strong.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

Algaz smiled and nodded. He knew that she was lying, but there was nothing that he could do about it. She was already cursed.

"Come on," he said, "let's continue walking."

He led Bella deeper into the forest. They walked for hours until they finally reached a small cottage hidden in the shadows.

"This is our home," Algaz said.

Bella walked inside and looked around. The cottage was small and simple, but it looked nice.

Algaz walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. He then took out a knife and cut the apple in half. He handed one piece to Bella while he ate the other.

"Eat this," Algaz said.

Bella stared at the apple, but then looked away and bit into it. She chewed on it and swallowed.

"Thanks," she said.

Algaz smiled.

"Now, come with me."

He grabbed her by the arm and dragged her deeper into the forest.

Nicholas stood up and started walking towards Algaz.

"Stop!" Algaz shouted.

Nicholas stopped and listened to Algaz's next words.

"If you try to attack me, I'll kill you," Algaz said. "Don't try to trick me again."

"But…" Bella said.

"You're mine!" Algaz shouted. "I don't care what you say! If you try to hurt me, I'll kill you!"

Bella sighed and leaned against Algaz.

"I know," she said. "I won't betray you again."

Algaz smiled and hugged her tightly. He kissed her cheek and then pulled her close to him.

"I'm glad that you're my slave," he said.

Bella smiled and nodded. She closed her eyes and rested her head against Algaz' chest.

"I love you," she whispered.

Algaz smiled and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry that I made you my slave," he said.

Bella shrugged. "It's alright. I accept your apology."

She sighed and looked up at Algaz. "I'm tired, so can we rest for a moment?"

"Of course, my dear," Algaz said, "Sit next to me."

He sat down on the grass and pulled Bella onto his lap. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly.

"I'm sorry that I used you," Algaz said softly. "You were only a pawn in this game."

"It's alright," Bella said, "You promised that you'd never hurt me."

Algaz smiled. He felt bad for using Bella like a pawn, but he knew that he had no choice.

"I promise," Algaz said, "Never again."

Bella smiled and rested her head against Algaz' shoulder.

"I love you," she whispered.

Algaz led Bella deeper into the forest. He was concerned that someone might find them, and he could lose control of her.

"I understand why you're afraid of me," Algaz said. "But, I won't hurt you."

"Why should I believe you?" Bella asked.

"Because you trust me now."

Bella looked at Algaz and glared at him.

"Don't lie," she said.

"I'm not lying," Algaz replied, "Trust me."

Bella sighed and looked away. She suddenly felt ashamed of herself. She hated being controlled by a demon, but she also knew that she couldn't escape from Algaz. He was much stronger than her.

"You're so strong," Bella said.

Algaz chuckled.

"I've got a lot of power," he said. "And, I'm going to use it."

Bella smiled and nodded.

"I know," she said.

She looked at Algaz, then at Nicholas.

"I know that you'll never hurt me," she said. "All I can say is that I hope you'll never hurt Nicholas either."

"I never want to hurt him," Algaz said.

Bella smiled and looked into his eyes. She could feel the hatred coming off of him.

"I know that you'll never hurt him," she said.

"I know that you'll never hurt anyone."

"Of course, I won't. What kind of monster would I be?"

Algaz laughed.

"A very smart one," he said.

Bella scowled and pulled out her knife. Algaz looked at the blade, then at Bella.

"Don't you dare!" he said.

"I'm not scared of you," Bella said, "and I won't be your puppet anymore."

Algaz closed his eyes and sighed.

"I understand why you hate me," he said. "I really do."

"Well, you shouldn't have done what you did," Bella said.

She looked at Algaz and smiled.

"Let's forget everything that happened," she said, "and start over."

Algaz looked at her and smiled.

"I think that's a wonderful idea," he said.

"I still don't trust you," Bella said.

"I understand," Algaz said.

He pulled out his phone and called a number.

"Hey, it's me," he said.

"Hey, how'd it go?"

"I took her back to my house."

"Okay, good luck with that."

Algaz laughed.

"How dare you talk to me like that? You think you're better than me?"

"I am," Bella said, "and I don't care what you say."

Algaz looked at Bella and smiled.

"You think you're so special, don't you?" he asked.

"Yes."

"But you're wrong," Algaz said.

He pulled out his cell phone and called a number.

"Hey, it's me," he said.

"Hey, how'd it go?"

"I took her back to my house."

"Okay, good luck with that."

Algaz laughed.

"How dare you talk to me like that? You think you're better than me?"

"Yes!" Bella said. "I know that I'm better than you."

Algaz laughed again.

"You're nothing but a liar," he said.

"I'm not lying!" Bella said.

"You're afraid of me," Algaz said.

Bella's face grew dark. She glared at Algaz and clenched her fists.

"I will never forgive you for what you did to me," she said.

Algaz smiled.

"I understand," he said, "and I won't blame you for hating me."

"You shouldn't have done what you did."

"But I did," Algaz said. "And now, you belong to me."

"I hate you."

"I know that."

"Why are you doing this?" Bella asked. "What do you want from me?"

Algaz smiled. He was happy that she trusted him again.

"I'm going to teach you how to use your power," Algaz said, "and then I'll ask you to join me."

"Join you?" Bella repeated.

"Yes," Algaz said, "I want to become your master and allow you to live with me forever."

"Why?"

"Because I love you," Algaz said.

"That's impossible."

Algaz smiled.

"I know that I look like a monster," he said, "but I'm really a good person."

"You're a liar!"

"I know that, but I'm telling the truth."

Bella stared at Algaz, unsure of what to believe. She had no idea who Algaz really was. All she knew was that she hated him.

"I don't want to see you anymore," Bella said.

Algaz smiled. He was happy that she still cared about him.

"I'm sorry," Algaz said.

"Don't apologize," Bella said, "I'm not angry."

Algaz smiled. He was excited that she didn't hate him.

"I guess that means that I don't have to punish you."

"Punish me?"

"Yes," Algaz said, "I'm going to s***k you."

Bella felt the blood drain from her face. She knew that what Algaz was saying was true. He was a monster, and he would never change.

"Come on," Algaz said.

Algaz pulled Bella's hair and dragged her along the ground. She tried to push herself free from his grip, but he was too strong.

"I'm sorry," Bella said.

Algaz stopped and placed his hand on her forehead.

"I'm sorry," Algaz said again. "But I'm doing this for your own sake."

Bella looked at Algaz.

"Can you even hear me? I'm begging you, please don't kill me."

Algaz smiled and opened his mouth wide. He was about to tear Bella's head off when something heavy fell on top of him. His legs buckled and he dropped to the ground.

Nicholas stood over Algaz and looked down at him.

"Did you hurt her?" Nicholas asked.

Algaz groaned as he lifted himself up.

"No," Algaz said.

"Good," Nicholas said, "because she's my friend."

Algaz narrowed his eyes.

"What's going on?" he asked.

"Nicholas," Bella said, "he saved me. He brought me here."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Algaz asked.

"I thought that he was a monster like you."

Algaz shook his head.

"He's not like me. I was going to use him to get to you."

Algaz turned away from her and started walking again.

"Hey, wait!" Bella ran after him.

She caught up to Algaz and grabbed his arm.

"Look," Bella said, "I'm sorry for what I did to you before."

"You betrayed me!" Algaz replied, "You made me look bad in front of everyone."

Bella smiled. "I know, but I was wrong."

Algaz glared at her.

"I'm not lying," Bella said. "You're different. I can see that. You actually care about other people."

Algaz shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, I guess I'm a good person after all."

Bella smiled and nodded.

"I still don't trust you."

"If you want to be with me," Algaz said, "then trust me."

"Alright," Bella said.

Algaz smiled and took her hand in his.
