“Thank you.”, Tarzan grinned with a firm appreciative nod.
“But El could have given the paycheck, this was on her.”, she continued, turning her face to see me deny.
“I waited for you to like it...”, I lied. “…plus he did not really mind waiting, did he?”, I added towards Tarzan.
“It was no bother at all.”, Tarzan supported, and we won.
“It’s the Jungle man for me…”, Craig laughed. “…you actually okay with anyone calling you that or it’s just for the ladies?”, he asked him.
“I don’t mind, and coming from ladies this lovely makes me love it.”, Tarzan flattered. “How’s the newsroom?”, he asked, turning his attention to his seemingly bored neighbour.
