1006 Words
Alex was so furious to hear the conditions his father gave him before running his company, he got home, went straight to his mini bar, took a bottle of alcohol and began drinking. He squeezed his hands upon the bottle, throwing it against the wall. His assistant stood there looking with both hands in his pockets. His driver parked the car in the garage. He submitted the keys and was about to head home. "Amos drive me to the strippers club now", Alex said as he dashed out of the house, Amos rushed down to the garage starting the engine, cory was about to get into the car "I'd go alone" Alex said ordered. Alex kept hitting the car door often screaming and holding his hair tightly. He didn't seem to understand why his father came up with such a condition. He lit up his cigarette, which scared Amos a little, removed his suit and his tie, unbottoning the top most part of his shirt, he was angry, so angry he punched the chair in front of him constantly. "He's better off dead" Alex said, Amos suddenly looked through the mirror at alex's reflection, that sentence wounded his ears, he thought what his boss could mean by "he's better of dead" the fear for his life grew even stronger, it's been two months working for his boss, hearing words like this pierced his brain. He began alert and thought of how to defend himself incase his boss had also thought of stabbing him. "Clear " "Clear you fool" Alex said forcefully pushing the door, Amos walked behind him begging "Sir, please we shouldn't be here, sir if anything happens to you I'd be in trouble" "go home Amos, I don't need to now" "and don't follow me or you'll loose your job" Alex added. "I need to clear my head" he thought to himself. He walked down the crowded streets in a bid to clear his head when a lady came running in a fast pace hitting hm and spilling her liquid all over his clothes, immediately he raised his hands to hit when she fell to her knees trying to wipe off the liquid she had spilled, he pushed her away taking the cloth from her hands wiping himself slowing "get your hands off me animal" she looked at him, she was mute for a while before she spoke "I'm sorry, so sorry, let me wipe it off for you sir" "I didn't mean to" "hey you there, the people after her finally caught up with her, immediately she went behind Alex begging for her life "her father owe we money, big big money" the uneducated leader spoke. "My father is dead now, let me be" she said behind Alex. The leader pointed at her, "you marry me or pay big money" "I will do no such thing" she spat. "I give you four weeks to pay big money or else" he demonstrated the killing sign on his neck "I r**e you, I kill you , four weeks" they left. Alex wondered if his pronouncing presence had chased them away, he remembered she was still clingy on him, he turned to her, "how much do you owe" "nevermind, sorry for the spilled drink" she packed her things scattered on the ground, "nevermind, I asked you a question miss and I deserve an answer now, how much do you owe" she was shocked at his response "well Mr I deserve an answer, the last time I checked my personal life was none of your f*****g business" . He looked around this time with his hands in his pockets, his shirt stained in red from the drink she had spilled "Do you know who I am" he smirked, "I'm Alex Mason, CEO of The A.M Homes, a business mogul, the son of the Leonard Mason" he bragged. She knew Leonard Mason because her father talked about him often and how he stole masses to build his so called empire, her mediocre father always had a special hate for Billionaire's as he believed all men of leonard's kind use the masses as pawns and never care to give back, he only said this because he was poor and owed a lot of people money. "twenty thousand dollars" she said, "my father owes them twenty thousand dollars" " And I'm sick and tired of running away , the debts don't just end" she cried. Alex stared at her for a while, he couldn't understand why he would waste that much time talking to a stranger, someone he had just met. There was something about her he couldn't understand, he wasn't a man of compassion, "I have a deal, , and it'll fetch you forty thousand dollars" she was struck by what she had just heard, her eyes popped out open wide. She tried to touch him but held her fingers back. She didn't ask what the offer was, as far as it could pay her father's debt, she agreed. He wanted to give his card, but he soon realized he wasn't wearing his suit "uhmmm you'd walk with me to the car, I'll get my card". They both walked down the street back to where he had told Amos to drop him, he couldn't find Amos, he searched for his phone, it was inside the car too. She started to think he was one of those liars who lure girls, takes advantage of them and kills them. He paced up and down a bit and Amos arrived "Are you dumb and stupid, you were asked to wait right here, you pathetic fool" he rained abuses. Amos was mute , opened the door, he got in the car took out his card and handed to Lisa through his window "this is my card, we'd meet at my house at noon tomorrow, don't be late, I hate lateness" she was about to respond before Amos zoomed off. Different thoughts ran through her head sappng her energy, she walked back home faintly.
