ASHVIN HARVEY I stared at the ruins before me, my claws itching to unsheathe as rage curled at the back of my neck. The scent of burnt wood and scorched earth filled my nostrils, mixing with the lingering stench of smoke. I forced myself to hold back the fury simmering beneath my skin, my wolf, Zen, prowling inside me, restless and ready to tear into someone. “Control yourself,” I reminded myself, even as my hands clenched into fists.
