Timpi was trying a lot of keys in his hands. Looking for the key that fits on Lamang’s room. He should have separated Lamang’s room key from everything else.   "Gat Lamang," he called but just like the previous call he did not answer.   A knight went near Timpi. "What is wrong?" He looked at the knight because he did not really know what to say but at the same time he had picked the correct key for Lamang's room. He opened the door but stepped back for what he had seen. The knight saw it as well and his eyes went big. "Call the King and Queen," Timpi commanded to the knight. The knight immediately went out of the room and ran towards the throne room to inform the king and queen about the prince.   Timpi stared at Lamang, what happened to him? He was lying on his bed and eyes closed but he was surrounded with a black aura. Lamang groaned. He looked like he was hurting. He wanted to go near him but he could not. He might catch what was infesting him. TImpi checked on the outside to see if see if the king and queen were already near. He could now see them walking fast towards him. The knight following the. He might them half-way.   “What is wrong with Lamang?” the king asked worriedly while the queen was waiting for him to answer.   “I do not know, Gat. There was a black aura surrounded him.” Timpi said.   They entered the room and saw what was happening to Lamang. He was now sitting up. Head faced down. He looked weak and the black aura was becoming bigger. The queen gasped and covered her mouth. She looked at the king with tears building up on her eyes.   “How did that happened without us seeing it?” The queen confusedly asked. She was about to go near her son but the king stopped him.   “You can’t,” the king said while he hover his hand in front of the queen to stop her from advancing. “Remember, you almost die because of the same thing.”   “But our son…” the queen said with a broken voice.   The king looked at Timpi. “Go to the highest elder. Tell him Lamang is infested with the black creature.” Timpi nodded. “Hurry!” the king added.   Timpi immediately ran outside the room to get to the highest elder. The one who had a great knowledge and wisdom. The one who had also help the queen.   The king, queen, and the knight stepped back when the aura was getting big.   “They need to get here as soon as possible,” the queen worriedly say.   “Lamang!” The queen tried to get Lamang’s attention. He was still sitting with his head face down and was leaning on the bed.   He started speaking incomprehensible sentences and with that the black aura continued to get bigger.   “Lamang!” The queen called while the king was pulling her to get away.   She looked at the king. “I am now healthy. I am now fine. I am now free from the burdens of the human world.” She held his hands. “Please, I am still a human. I am more than capable to do this. I could not be easily overwhelmed with negative emotions but our son… he is hurting as an engkanto and as a human.” She looked at him in the eyes to plead. “Please, this is for our son.”   The king looked at both of them. His attention was torn apart his wife and his son. He sighed. “Are you sure? The high elder would be here any minute.”   The queen face became determine. “I am sure. I would do everything for our son.”   Their attention diverted when Lamang shouted. The looked back to the king.   The king put down his hand. The queen took that as an opportunity to run and enter the dark aura that was surrounding his son. She held Lamang face and held it up. She tapped his face. “Lamang,” she called. “Son.”   Lamang looked at her with blank eyes. He removed himself from his mother’s hold and leaned on his legs with his hands. His hands were trembling. He was being overwhelmed by his own negative emotions.   “Lamang,” the queen cupped his faced and let him faced her. “Son, look at me,” she said.   He looked at her mom and his eyebrows were shaking. His heart, his body, his brain was hurting. He did not know what was happening to him. He just woke up with a heavy feeling. Everything was a blur to him. He could not move his body the way he wanted it to. Every thing just hurts.   “Son,” her mother called. “Calm down, okay?”   He wanted to but he could not. He felt her hugging her. He noticed the black aura surrounding him got bigger because of his worries. He was worried about his mom. What would happen to her after this?   ‘You should worry about the human girl, hehehe,’ Lamang heard from his head.   ‘The other part of me is with her,’ it added.   The black aura got bigger. His whole room was already filled with black. He could not see his father. His whole body throbbed. His muscles were tightening. His breaths were getting heavier.   “Son,” her mother tapped his face. “Do not think!” She shouted. She was already standing. “Your mind is you enemy here! Do not let your mind consume you! Never listen to what it says!”   Lamang’s body collapsed. He could not take it much longer. He could not help but listen to his mind.   ‘No one was there to help her. She was all alone,’ the creature told him in his mind while laughing.   He did not know how the ended up to be with him and Bella. He never noticed. He could not breathe anymore. He was running out of air. He closed his eyes.   “King,” Timpi called as soon as he arrived. He was covered in sweats and he was catching his breaths. The highest elder was following him with his things.   “LAMANG!” the queen shouted. The king immediately went towards the door. He could not get inside.   The queen looked at the king. “He is not breathing!” she said with tears flowing out of her eyes.   The king did not know what to do. He looked at the highest elder, “Please, heal him.”   The highest elder walked towards the door. “This is bad,” he commented as soon as he saw they were two people inside.   He looked at the king. “Make no one comes near here,” the elder directed.   The king looked at the knight and Timpi. “Tell everyone to stay on their quarters. No one should go up here.”   Timpi and the knight immediately split their ways to go to the different side of the palace.   “I need to make sure that the black aura would not be able to pass through here so the people here would not be overwhelmed by the negative energies in this room, “ the highest elder said.   “How would you do it?” the king asked.   The highest elders spread a white power to the door way. “This is once a clear quartz stone. I made it into a powder. It can be used to deflect negative energy and absorb positive energy. The negative energy from the inside could not get pass through here and the positive energy from here will be absorbed and will be disseminate around the other side,” the highest elder explained.   The king sighed. “Thank you,” the king said.   “It is still earlier to say thank you. We still need to contain the sorrow. We do not know how powerful it is now. It may or may not become powerful than one hundred years ago. “   “You are right.”   “And we still need to be prepared. It could break away from the barrier and infest other half-human and half-engkanto here in the kingdom,” the elder said as he added another powder on the floor for added protection. It is a black obsidian powder. The elder needed the positive energy from outside to shrink the black aura and create another barrier again and again until the black aura gets smaller and until the sorrow would reveal itself.   The elder and the king noticed that the black aura was now getting smaller. It means that the remedy that they did were effective.   The elder observed Dayang Vivien from the inside. She was not infested. She had change a lot. “Dayang Vivien,” the elder called. Vivien was looking at him with eyes full in tears. Her son was not breathing anymore.   “Catch this,” he said as he threw the black tourmaline to her. You both hold that,” the elder commanded.      Dayang Vivien crawled to the ground to look for it. Her sobs could be heard from outside the room. There was a tear fell from the king’s eyes as well. He sympathized his wife and he could not believe that his son was on his life and death situation.   Dayang Vivien found the crystal the elder threw and immediately put it on Lamang’s heart and she held his hands to place it above the stone.   “Son, please.”   With the help of the crystal the black aura that was surrounding them got smaller and smaller. It took how many minutes to completely absorb all the dark energy from Lamang influenced by the sorrow. From the back of his, the sorrow emerged out of it with an intense deadly eyes. It was looking at the Highest elder.     The highest elder opened a box. It has an black tourmaline powder. It could also absorb the negative energy. It had immediately absorb the sorrow since it was the only one that produced a negative energy. The elder immediately sealed the box and enchant some spells. “Lamang!” the dayang shouted as she felt that the heartbeat of his son came back. It means he was fighting.   The king immediately went towards them and hugged her was who was crying very heard.     The elder walked near them and handed Dayang Vivien another tourmaline stone. “Keep that with you for days. It will keep you grounded and the negative energy would be absorb. We just need to be sure,” the elder said.   Dayang Vivien nodded and held it to her heart. She looked at her husband who was looking at their son. Another tears fell from her eyes.
