My leg bounced restlessly as I sat in class without Gemma. I wasn’t even pretending to pay attention to the class. I felt restless thinking about her chasing after another guy. Suddenly, a burning sensation made its way on to my lips and alerted me. It felt as if my lips were burning, but not like when I kissed Gem...this was a bad feeling, and I knew exactly what it meant.
I stood from my chair and stormed from the classroom without a word, completely ignoring the angry teacher calling me back.
As I reached the hallway, I could feel the darker side of me trying to come out, but I forced it back. I had to find her first. I inhaled deeply and traced her scent.
