I drove Gemma home and left Jay and Collin as guards. I knew the twins would protect her with their lives; they were good at what they do.
The further I drove from her, the more uncomfortable I became. It was the bond at work, and, if I got too far away from my beloved, the discomfort would turn into excruciating pain. I didn't want to leave her, but I knew she needed the time to process everything she learned today. I turned her world around.
