Chapter 2 Naughty Girl’s Punishment

1197 Words
Matthew looked at her. "Is that a ‘no’?" Matthew turned as if to leave. "Wait, I’ll do it!" Rebecca couldn't help but reach out to him once more. Matthew didn’t seem surprised. He lowered his gaze and leaned in closer to her. In a deep voice, he asked, "Are you sure?" Half a million was nothing to him. Consider it a good deed for the day. A hint of struggle flashed in Rebecca's eyes, but she finally made up her mind and said, "Yeah, I'm sure!" "Good." Matthew made a call, and within ten minutes, someone brought in a few papers. That was an actual debt b*****e. She gazed deeply at the man before her and, with some difficulty, scrawled her signature onto it. She had written her name down countless times, but never with such struggle. It was not only because she was a powerless minor but also because it was a testament to her inability to control her own fate and a compromise with the realities of life. She knew what he wanted was an obedient "woman" without a sense of self, who would belong to him. "Now that you're mine, come with me," he said indifferently. "Sir," Rebecca began somewhat hesitantly, "May I trouble you with one more thing? Could you sign Auntie Sara's surgery form for me? I'm not of age yet, so I can't..." Her voice trailed off. Matthew was inclined to refuse, but seeing her tearful appearance, his heart eventually softened, and he nodded in agreement. This was a great relief for Rebecca. She then asked, "How should I address you?" "You'll know," said Matthew with a slight smirk. He then turned around and left. ***** Rebecca was settled in a villa in the highly sought-after garden area. Initially, she spent her days in a state of constant anxiety, fearing he might come for her at any moment, but all this time passed, and he never did. In the next two years, Rebecca only caught glimpses of him in Time Magazine. It turned out he was Matthew Weller, the designated heir of Weller Corporation. Their contract would be expiring in a little more than three months, which filled Rebecca with a sense of excitement. Freedom was on the horizon. Intent on getting an early start, she decided to start sorting things out. Once she was done, she headed out to celebrate the birthday party of a friend from school. At 10 p.m., what was supposed to be another lonesome night took an unexpected turn, as Matthew Weller, the villa's owner who hadn't shown up in two years, surprisingly returned. Matthew was dressed in a sharp suit covered by a long overcoat. The fatigue lingering around his brows couldn't mask the noble air he carried around him. He went upstairs to look for her, but when he pushed open the door, he was greeted by the sight of a neatly-packed suitcase in the room. His furrowed brows expressed a hint of displeasure. Their contract hadn't expired yet, had it? Was she that eager to leave? After two years of not seeing each other, it seemed about time to remind the young lady of her place. ***** Rebecca was drunk. She had been unable to hail a cab, so her classmate from high school, Carlos Steele, gave her a ride home. She thanked him politely after getting out of the car, and Carlos gently said good night to her. Just as she turned around, Rebecca saw Diana standing outside, which was unusual. Rebecca instinctively looked up to the second-floor window. Sure enough, he was back! "Miss, please go upstairs." Rebecca felt a twinge of unease, realizing how late it was and how long he must have been waiting. She wondered if he might be angry. After preparing herself mentally, Rebecca finally knocked on the door. "Come in." Matthew's voice greeted her, clearly lacking patience. He was standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, so he must have witnessed the scene of Carlos dropping her off. Nervously, she clenched her fists and was ready to explain. "Mr. Weller." Matthew observed the young girl who had grown taller and become more shapely than she was two years ago. He squinted, his tone amused yet deep. "You still know your way back, huh?" Rebecca kept her head down and dared not meet his gaze. She murmured a “hmm” in response. "You’ve got some nerve, drinking, coming home late, and getting tangled up with other men. Now, what do you think I should do to punish you?" His laughter seemed to bubble up from his throat, devoid of any warmth. Rebecca replied without looking up at him, "It was a classmate's birthday. I only had a little to drink. It was hard to get a cab, so I shared one with another classmate." Matthew blew a smoke ring. His gaze fixed on Rebecca, who was bowing her head, clearly showing dissatisfaction with her response. His sensual voice filled the air again. "Are you trying to tell me you're innocent, that I've wronged you?" Rebecca's face turned a shade paler. "I'm not." "Not what? You seem to have forgotten who you are." Rebecca didn't offer any further explanation. She knew he was just using this to beat down on her and then deliver a harsh reality—she belonged to him. "Why so quiet?" Matthew approached her, suddenly gripped her waist with his large hand, and moved upwards to envelop her soft torso, secretly exerting a force that sent shivers down her spine. He pulled her close, his voice deep and captivating, laced with an undeniable threat, his breath heavy. "Do you now remember who you belong to?" Rebecca stiffened. "I told you he's just a classmate!" "Oh?" His long fingers pinched her chin, bringing his handsome face close to hers, enticing her breath away. "Unhappy, are you?" Rebecca turned her face away, refusing to look at him, her eyes brimming with defiance. She was indeed unhappy. Although technically she belonged to him, he had no right to assault her without reason. The more she behaved like this, the more it made him want to conquer her. Matthew's grip didn't loosen. If anything, it tightened. He said with a sneer, "Rebecca, whether you like it or not, you are mine." A wave of tension gripped Rebecca. She had anticipated this moment when she signed the contract, but she thought she might escape the fate since he hadn't appeared in the past two years. She began to struggle, but his strength was simply too overpowering. Matthew forcefully carried her and hoisted her into the bathroom. The cold shower drenched her, sending a shiver coursing through her body. Struggling to stand, she found no handhold and could only clutch at his collar. "Are you cold?" Matthew watched her movements with satisfaction, his sneer even colder. "Remember this feeling." Her lips trembled. Seeing her like this, Matthew curved his lips into a smile, suggesting that the desire in his eyes had been reignited. His warm palm caressed her hair. Before she could react, his arms slipped around her waist, scooping her up and turning to toss her onto the bed.
