The Alpha's Moonlight

CHAPTER 3

Serenity POV

“Wake up sleepy head. We are here.” Violet shakes my arm waking me up from my dream. I stand and stretch. Once I fix my hair, I grab my things and exit the plane. I head towards the cars waiting to take us to our new pack.

I climb into the second car with Violet and Quinn. Looking out the window I notice the surrounding forest looks eerily familiar. It takes a minute and it hits me, this is the forest from my dreams. The farther into the forest we drive the more anxious Stella becomes.

Soon after I start to feel someone or something watching us. I brush it off knowing that we have just crossed a pack boarder and the border patrol would be watching us.

Not long after, we pull up in front of a humongous brick mansion that must be about the size of a ski lodge. As we climb of of the car Kaiden and Hunter walk out of the pack house and run to Violet and Quinn giving taking them into their arms and looking them over for anything out of place. I look around and spot my beloved car and walk over to see if I need to amputate any limbs. Seeing no scratches or dents I walk back over to my brother and give him a hug.

"You all arrived just in time for dinner" Kaiden exclaimed and lead us inside. As we walk into the large dining room all conversation stops and every eye is on us.

Kaiden clears his throat "as you all know I am your new alpha and Hunter is your beta. Before we start dinner the rest of my companions will give a short introduction. Once Kaiden is done speaking Violet steps forward and simply announces " I am Violet Fields and I am Kaiden's mate and your new Luna".

After everyone has introduced themselves, I step forward and stand beside Kaiden and say, " my name is Serenity Shaw the alpha is my older brother and in my former pack I was the head female warrior."

Once we were done eating Hunter and Kaiden show us around the new pack house and I pay close attention to where the pack gym and kitchen are located. Lastly, they tell us where we are staying so we all know where to find each other.

I walk into my new home which happens to be the old guest house, and I am greeted with a large living room and all my boxes. Instead of unpacking I decide to explore and walk through the doorway to see a nice sized kitchen. After familiarizing with the layout and placement of everything, I open the fridge and see that Kaiden had someone stock the fridge with everything I asked for. Once I have everything set up for my morning routine, I find the stairs and go choose my room.

A while later I choose the second largest room saving the largest for Wyatt and Griffith when they visit because they share everything and cannot stay apart for long, and I start taking my boxes up. I finish setting up my room and putting away my clothes and head downstairs to start unpacking everything else. First up is my books and I notice that the box has been opened and resealed. Thinking nothing of it I choose a shelf and start stacking books on the shelf. As I pick up the last book, I catch the scent of mint and chocolate. not knowing where the scent is coming from, I start looking around and head outside. Seeing and smelling no one, I head back inside to put the book on the shelf and notice a single drop of blood on the spine of the book. Bringing the book up to my nose I take a sniff and Stella screams “MATE” making me clutch my head in pain.

Knowing the only way to calm her down after she becomes excited, I head upstairs and change into my favorite swimsuit and head towards the pack house and I jump into the pool. After I come accustomed with the cold water, I start swimming laps. Not long later Stella calms down so I float on my back letting my muscles relax and I soon fall asleep.

“Serenity wake up! You can’t sleep in the pool you could drown” Quinn yells waking me up. Once I take in my surroundings I swim to the edge and climb out of the pool and wrap myself in a towel. After drying myself off I sit on of the patio chairs across from Quinn.

“What has Stella all excited?” asks Quinn knowing I only swim laps to calm my wolf. “One of my boxes was opened and a book had a drop of blood on the spine which she claims belongs to my mate” I explain to her that she can also smell his faint scent around the guest house.

After a while Quinn heads back into the pack house to find Hunter and prepare for the next day. I stay by the pool a while longer looking at the stars trying to find the constellation Gemini knowing that my brothers are looking at the same stars making me feel closer to them even though they are thousands of miles away.

I head back to my house and set out the dress for the welcoming ceremony and the pack run. When I find the dress I’m looking for, I set it on my plush chair and jump into the shower rinsing off the chlorine from my body and hair. I step out of the shower and dry off, I finish my nighttime routine with an overnight lip mask. Once done I throw on my white lace bralette and matching panties and hop into bed cuddled up to my body pillow and fall asleep

The next morning, I hit my alarm looking at the time I get up and throw on my leggings and matching sports bra and run down to the kitchen to fill my water bottle before heading over to the pack house. On the walk over I put my hair into a ponytail and put on my headband. I walk down to the gym and notice Kaiden and Hunter sparing with some of the new pack. I grab a towel and step onto an open treadmill. Listening to my music I finish my run and start my kickboxing routine with a punching bag. As I change my music, I look around and see everyone staring at me.
