“You are Gary, the bastard who kidnapped me,” Melanie said in anger
“What?” Sophia and Carl
screamed simultaneously
“Mom, is he not Gary?” Melanie asked her mom
“No darling, don’t you know who he is?” Sophia asked
“Oh yeah, he is not Gary” Melanie confirmed
“Melanie, do you know who he is?” Sophia asked again
“Am I supposed to know him?” Melanie asked
“How can you remember Gary kidnapped you, but you can’t remember who Carl is?”
