Black Veils ADARA As we stood around the hole in the ground I closed my eyes, willing myself to be anywhere but here. The whole world was gray as if the sky was mourning as well and I stood next to my parents solemnly. I had already cried all of my tears. I didn't have anything left in me. My mother cried quietly as my father stood tall, holding her hand in comfort. They had made up at some point, my father accepting his part in all of this. As the eulogies and words of mourning were given I stopped listening. I didn't hear what was said at the funeral. I assume whatever they said was nice.
