Samuel's face drained of color as the truth of his wrongdoing came to light.
"Nina!"
He rushed toward me, his voice tinged with panic and urgency.
"Don't listen to him! Tim's been infatuated with you for ages. He's trying to drive us apart!"
When he tried to reach for my hand, I sidestepped deftly, not even sparing him a glance. I didn't want to waste my attention on him.
"Samuel, respect my decision. I'm with Tim now."
His shock was palpable.
He stared at me as if unable to comprehend my words.
"What are you saying? I never agreed to break up!"
I let out a chilling laugh, rolling my eyes at his delusion.
