As soon as Wesley left, Lori grabbed a small mirror out of her desk to check her hair and make-up. A brush from the same drawer hastily smoothed her hair and Lori adjusted the tiny dragonfly clip that held back one slippery strand while rest hung down around her shoulders. She normally wore little make-up, so all she had to touch up was a quick coat of sheer lip-gloss and she was as ready to face Eric as she was going to get. Huge butterflies gamboled about in her stomach and she wished he'd hurry up and get there, so that this anxiety would be over, one way or another.
