If there was one thing that terrified Halle, it would be people involved with drugs. Her past experience left her a PTSD, and whenever she came across any hard drugs, it sent cold shivers down her spine.
Despite the chaos going on in the room, she spotted a figure on the bed, seated calmly. His face was turned to the other side, so she could only see his back which was covered in a black singlet.
Her eyes scanned around, and she counted about five people in the room, including her.
Two females, three guys.
“Aren’t you the stripper from the club earlier?” One of the guys approached her, holding a bottle of wine.
She nodded in reply.
“What are you doing here?” The other guy asked, his eyes displaying surprise.
Her brows creased into a deep frown. Weren’t they the one that sent for her?
She was about to speak, when the guy seated at the corner of the bed beats her to it.
“I requested for her service.” His tone was calm, unlike the one of the other guys in the room.
She moved her gaze to him, watching silently as he stood from the bed and turned to her direction.
Recognition flashed across her eyes. It was the guy with grey eyes from the club.
Her lips curved into a smirk, ‘Couldn’t resist me, could you?’ It would be unprofessional to say the words out, so she let it remain within her.
She looked away from him when the other two guys bursted into laughter.
She stared at them as they whispered amongst themselves, giggling, while the guy with grey eyes kept a stern face.
“f**k you.” He said loudly before striding to her.
He stopped when he got few inches closer to her.
“You’re staying till the next morning, right?”
Halle didn’t reply, not because she didn’t want to, but because she was too focused feeding her eyes with his physical features.
She noticed his haircut; a taper fade, his slender grey eyes, his well defined jawline and his thin pink lips.
And it wasn’t surprising to see he dealt with drugs, alcohol and women. Most boys with his kind of looks were big time flirt and drug addicts.
“Yes.” She replied after a while.
“Thought you couldn’t speak,” He scoffed. “That would have been a plus tho.”
“A plus for what?” Halle asked, she didn’t understand what he meant by that.
“Come with me.” He instructed, leading her deeper into the room.
She shrugged her shoulders and followed him until they reached a locked door.
It was then she realized the lounge was more spacious than she thought, with multiple rooms.
He slid the card into the door’s slot and the door opened automatically, allowing him to stride in.
As soon as she entered the room with him, the door locked.
Unlike the first one, the room was well arranged and calm; soft bright lighting, refreshing scent and a wave of serenity.
They were the only ones in the room, and she sighed in relief; ‘finally some quiet place’
But then, the manager told her she wouldn’t be stripping for one person, why did the guy bring her here?
She shrugged the thoughts off and dropped her bag on the neatly arranged bed.
She stayed on her feet, contemplating on what to do next.
The few times she had agreed to private stripping, it wasn’t as awkward as this.
Whenever she got to the location, she’d change her clothes and begin immediately, but now she didn’t know if to do same thing or wait for him to say something.
“Do you do happy ending?” He asked, his eyes roaming around her body.
“If you pay extra.” She replied cooly.
He was quiet for a while, before he spoke up, “In order words, you’ll do anything for money?”
She found his words offensive, but she didn’t react, because it wasn’t the first time she’d be hearing those words.
Not that what he said wasn’t true, she just didn’t like being judged by people.
He was only interacting with her for the first time and he’d just made a baseless assumption. She wasn’t okay with that.
Instead of letting him know all that, she flashed him an intimidating smile, “If I were you, I wouldn’t be concerned about that.”
“I have my reasons.”
“And I do not give a f**k about your reasons…” She stopped and let out a sigh.
The conversation was going out of the line, and she didn’t want to continue. She had to remind herself that she came to work.
She picked up her bag from the bed, “I’ll get changed.”
As she turned, heading to the direction of the bathroom, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
She swirled. The force at which he pulled her sent her boobs crashing onto his chest, her cleavages bouncing out.
A light gasp escaped her lips as her bag crashed to the floor. She struggled to free her wrist from his grip, but he was just too strong.
“I got that bag for one thousand two hundred, if anything happens to it then you’ll pay for it!” She snapped, getting infuriated by his attitude.
He was the most infuriating client she’d ever had
He let out a sly smile, and she couldn’t help but wonder what was funny about what she said.
She developed the urge to kick his d**k and make him spend a month in coma, but then she had to remain professional.
Whenever she thought of retorting, the ten thousand dollars kept ringing in her head.
The money had already been paid to the club’s manager and if she didn’t do well, the guy might ask for a refund, and she didn’t want to lose the money.
“One two?” He chuckled. “I’ll tell you this…” He let go of her hand and watched as she hurriedly picked the bag from the floor, dusting the invisible dirt on it.
“You can get birkin bags.”
She glared at him, “If I can afford a birkin, do you think I’ll be here enduring your…” she stopped and took a deep breath.
‘No curse words on a client’ She reminded herself, before looking back at him,
“All I’m saying is that, I won’t be working as a stripper if…”
“If you can afford a birkin.” He cuts in, completing the statement for her.
When she didn’t say a word, he further said, “If you stick to me, you can get ten or more birkin.”
As he finished saying those words, Halle’s gaze lingered on him, moving from his head to his toes, observing every single details.
The guy did seem rich, but ten birkin? He didn’t seem that rich to Halle, maybe because he didn’t have any special clothing or accessories on.
“Listen, I’m not one of those girls you can fascinate with your fantasy wealth. I’m here for strictly business, and won’t entertain your empty promises to make me all over you.” As she said those words, she noticed his brows furrowing.
“Why would I want you all over me?” He questioned.
“Who wouldn’t want to get my attention?” She rolled her eyes.
“Everyone might want it, not Danny.” He said firmly.
“Permit me to say you aren’t different from the men who worship the ground I step on, Danny.” She smirked, her shoulder being kept high as she bruised his ego.
He scoffed, “What’s special about you?”
She clutched her bag to herself, moved closer to him, covering the distance between them. She stopped when there was barely any space.
He was taller than her a bit, so she had to lift her eyes up to stare at him, “Nothing is special about me, but you couldn’t resist your eyes from ogling over me at the club earlier.”
“That’s because I…” He paused and exhaled deeply.
“Short of words?” A triumph smile crept on her face.
It was when he didn’t say any more words, she realized she’d been so unprofessional. She let his words get to her and acted unusually.
She opened her mouth to apologize, but she stopped herself.
She dropped her bag on the bed and dragged out her romper.
“I want to make you an offer.” He said all of a sudden.
“What offer?” She asked, not sparing him a stare.
“A million dollar offer.” He replied.
The romper slipped off her hand, she took a sharp turn, “Are you f*****g kidding me?”
“No.”
She crossed her hand around each other, staring at him with curiosity burning deep inside her, “How rich are you?”
First it was ten birkin, now this.
“Rich enough to get what I want.”
“What is the offer? And how can I trust you? What if you are a scam?” She wasn’t dumb to just jump on an offer like that.
It hadn’t been up to an hour since she met him, and he was already talking about such huge amount.
A million dollar? The price was outrageous, but then she didn’t know what the offer was.
“I hate to do this.” She heard him mutter under his breath.
He took out his phone from his pocket and after scrolling for some seconds, he handed it over to her.
She collected it, wondering why he gave it to her. She observed the model and noticed it was the latest Samsung ultra.
She stared at the screen and her eyes widened when she saw his i********: profile.
“Danny Harrison.” She read his name out.
The profile displayed the total of three point one million followers, with only one following.
On his bio, ‘public figure was being displayed there.’
Without bothering to scroll further, she handed the phone back to him.
“Why did you show me that?” She asked.
His eyes flickered in disappointment. “You still don’t get it?”
“No… Do you think showing me the fake followers you bought would make me believe you?”
“f**k!” He held his forehead in frustration. “You asked how you can trust me, and i showed you my profile. I’m a f*****g public figure and you don’t have to worry about being kidnapped or so.”
“A public figure?” She scoffed. “How come I don’t know you?”
“I don’t expect a determined stripper in Marseille to know me.” The malice in his voice didn’t go unnoticed.
Halle chuckled. “So what is the offer?” She asked, as she took her phone out of her bag.
“My grandpa’s birthday is in few days time and he has been pestering me to get married, but getting married and staying dedicated to one b***h is the least of my problems…”
He stopped when he noticed she wasn’t paying attention, her gaze was focused on her phone.
When he peeped into the screen, he found out she was making research about him. He let out a dry chuckle.
“Can you please listen to me.”
It was a rare thing for Danny Harrison to beg for one’s attention, it was always the other way round.
“Maybe if you just go straight to the point, I’ll listen.” Halle replied, her gaze still focused on her phone.
As he kept talking, she didn’t pay attention. At every details she discover about Danny Harrison, new ideas crossed her mind.
From what she discovered online, he was the son of a popular billionaire in America. His father owned different brands and companies in America.
Their family was one of the most respected families in the country, and they kept an high and reputable image.
He was popular across America, but not here in marseille. Hence, she didn’t know who he was.
When she was done with her little research, she looked up at him, her face now having a calm expression.
“Ain’t gonna lie, I didn’t really pay attention to all what you said.”
“I know.” His grey eyes remained fixed on her and he could tell from the look on her face that his identity humbled her.
“I’ll be going back to America tomorrow, and I need to take a girl along. I need you to act as my girlfriend until after my grandpa’s coming birthday.” He revealed.
Halle’s brows furrowed. She stared at her phone, her gaze fixed on a particular line of the article.
*The Harrison’s kept a reputable reputation and over the years, they haven’t engaged in any scandal to tarnish their image.*
She zoomed the line and pointed the phone screen at him. “I’m a stripper, Danny. Did you perhaps make this offer to mock me?”
“What do you mean?” He asked, a bit confused.
She retracted her phone and threw it to the bed. “Your family is known to have a good reputation and do you think having a girlfriend who is a stripper won’t ruin it?…” she paused and let out a chuckle.
“You have what it takes to get top models and actresses to act as your girlfriend for a while. Isn’t it suspicious that you chose me, a f*****g stripper you just met for the first time?”
Danny’s lips curled into a smirk. “You’re quite smart.”
He took slow steps round her, and stopped when he got to her back. “Endowed, smart and stunning… My ideal type of girl if you weren’t a…” He paused, deciding not to complete his last statement.
His expression turned stern, his playful and flirty side disappearing. “I’ll send you the full details after you’ve agreed.”
Halle remained quiet, her mind filled with different thoughts.
“Is it a yes or a no?”
‘A million dollars’ Surely Halle wouldn’t want to miss that amount.
With the money, she could pay for her siblings flight to come stay with her, and provide for them without having to struggle.
But then, the offer was just too good to be true.
