Chapter 34: The Question He Couldn’t Place Reese's POV I stayed in the study long after I had told myself to put the photograph away. The desk lamp threw a narrow circle of light across the old company file. The picture from the early days of Bennett Technologies still sat on top of the papers. I had already decided the woman in the background meant nothing, yet I kept looking. I leaned closer as I peered at the photo again. Her posture was straight even though the hour in the photo must have been late and cheap paper cup sat near her elbow. Papers covered the table in uneven stacks and on her wrist I could just make out the thin line of a bracelet. None of it should have mattered and none of it gave her a name.
