The next day, after another unsettling dream about Christian, Mackenzie was startled awake to find the bed next to her empty.
Getting dressed quickly, Mackenzie decided she would do a little exploring around the pack.
On her way down the stairs, Mackenzie decided to stop by the Alpha office on the first floor and knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Tony’s deep voice replied.
Mackenzie walked in to find Tony, Andrew, Chad, and Brayden in the office.
“Ah, there she is, my lovely daughter-in-law.” Andrew got up and pulled Mackenzie into a hug. She smiled at Brayden, who winked back, and Chad, Brayden’s father, nodded his head to her in greeting.
“Babe,” Antonio said, getting up. “You’re the only one who never has to knock, you know that, right?” He walked over to Mackenzie
