Chapter Seven
The once blue clouds are now dark that only form of light is the stars twinkling complimenting all the fairytales told about the said heavenly body.
Seokjin's hobby is something like this, him standing in his room's balcony trying to count how many stars are there in the skies only to give up and just wish for a day of independence.
He always dreams to be an educator, he wants to share his knowledge to the less fortunate kids. He wants to teach them not only what is written on their books but also how they should act properly in this world full of rule breakers.
He wants to be in a school talking to his students not like this— sitting on the hood of a black luxurious car with a handsome man beside him.
"Where did you go with Taehyung?"
Seokjin's eyebrows knitted in confusion as he looked at his side where Jungkook is looking up at the dark skies but still anticipating his answer.
"Nothing. I just sat there," he shrugged his shoulders, "And talked a little with Yoongi." He said.
Jungkook scoffed shaking his head slightly, a small smile gracing his lips as he faintly mumbled Yoongi's name once again.
Seokjin was intrigued, the way Jungkook's eyes sparkled but immediately died down as if the happy feeling dissapeared the moment he even knew it was there.
"Do you know Yoongi?" He curiously asked.
Jungkook stared right back into Seokjin's eyes that made the younger gulped down, he looks at the side setting his eyes on Jungkook's tattooed arms.
He looked back up and bit the insides of his cheeks feeling himself melting because of how soft the older's eyes is, it's fascinating to see someone who looks very much bold and strong with the eyes so innocent and clear.
"He's my ex-boyfriend..."
Seokjin is certain that the man sitting beside him, even with his good and outstanding features and with the fact that he saw him back in the market, he's still a stranger for him.
Someone that he doesnt even know.
That's why the feeling of dissapointment upon knowing about his past relationship with someone that he grew comfortable with was very much foreign to him.
Why is he dissapointed in the first place? All of that happened when he's still not in the picture and if he's already in, why should he even care?
"Did you love him? How was he as a boyfriend?"
He bit his tongue wanting to just stop himself from asking for more question, he's curious. But he also knows that he's uncomfortable with the topic.
Seokjin's heart thumped louder against his chest when he once again saw the bright and wide smile of Jungkook shaking his head slightly.
"Yoongi is a man that I truly love, he's a very good partner to me. He's sweet and gentle, very beautiful too. He's someone that I respect up until now," Jungkook bit his lower lips, "Something just came up though, we're not for each other." He said.
He speaks about Yoongi as if he's certain that the man he's talking about is a perfect person to be with only to mention in the end that they're not for each other.
In the books that Seokjin has read, there's different kinds of love but most of them is that— when you're in a relationship, you always end up with someone that you really love even with all the problems, you still manages to find your way back in each other's arm.
And Seokjin thinks that Jungkook feels like that towards Yoongi, the way he talks about him, describing the beauty and the good traits that the other man has. It's as if he's Jungkook's ideal partner.
Why did he let Yoongi slipped out of his hands just like that, then?
"Dont you want him back?" Seokjin asked.
Jungkook let out a small laugh, he leaned forward that made Seokjin's eyes widened with the sudden gesture.
"Why would I be here if I want him back, hm?"
Seokjin backed away, he jumped out. He stood properly as he ran his fingers through his hair wanting to avoid the effect that those words has to him.
He looked down and covered his face when he felt it burning up, he even whined while stomping his feet when he heard the small laughs of Jungkook behind him.
"Baby..."
Seokjin internally squeled and he wants nothing but to just dissapear especially when he felt Jungkook's hands wrapped around his waist.
"Can I touch you like this, hm?" He softly asked almost like a whisper.
He's good with this, Seokjin thought.
He's really good with playing someone's heart, making them all giggly like him as of the moment. It's as if his heart is on the man's palm getting played at like a toy sold at the lowest price possible.
Jungkook stood infront of him, he tightly held both of Seokjin's hand intertwining both of their fingers together stopping the younger from covering his face again.
"Why are you hiding your beauty? I want to see you, baby."
Seokjin took in a deep breathe trying his best not to just melt infront of this man, he doesnt even want to show how he's so affected with that one word.
"No. Stop playing with me," Seokjin looked straight into his eyes, "You dont even like me." He mumbled.
He shouldnt let out a dissapointed sigh but he did, it made Jungkook smiled a little seeing Seokjin's shoulder slumped as if he just heard a very bad news.
"I like you. Baby, that's the reason why I am trying to pursue you, make you my husband."
Jungkook caressed his face letting out a faint smile, "I still dont love you and I know you feel the same way but I think it's just because we still have to know each other." He said.
"Jungkook..."
Seokjin bit the insides of his cheeks when Jungkook kissed the back of his hands for a couple of times while looking straight into his eyes with so much sincerity.
"If only you want to, we can learn how to love each other at the same time." Jungkook said with so much hope deep inside of him.
