Isabella’s POV
I didn’t sleep at all, and after hearing what he said, even less. How can you sleep after that declaration? I spent practically half the night thinking about his words, which, although they sounded sincere, there was a part of me that refused to accept them.
The evidence is clear, and I don’t want to get hurt. To be honest, I didn’t believe much in his intention to court me. He doesn’t seem like a man who does that kind of thing. I don’t see him as romantic at all.
But when I woke up the next day and saw the rose next to the note stuck to my door, I wanted to jump for joy.
No one has ever done something like this for me. I can’t deny the warm feeling that filled my heart when I saw that gesture.
I may not fully believe him, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like the gestur
