Smelling Her

Kevin's POV

My goddess she's beautiful, she got up on that stage and I could see just how nervous she was. Even though she was nervous she still radiated this powerful aura I can tell she is holding back, as if she is hiding her identity.  She is interesting. When she opened her mouth I was astonished, Her voice was so soft despite her confidence. I didn't have a clue of the song she's singing I wont ever listen to that sappy sh*t but, if she sings that for me I'll listen everyday if i have to. 

I was completely mesmerized that I didn't even notice she finish singing until she cleared her throat and the whole class erupted with applause. I couldn't help but smile at her as she made her way next to me and her friend Stacey.

The guy who was talking to her back in Econ class who's name I forgot stopped her. I heard him say " you have an amazing voice." she just blushed and said thanks. I offered her a smile when she looked at me but she sat next to that guy seeing as all other seats were occupied. Class went by just as boring with Mr. Alec the music teacher explaining to us about the senior dance and performance. Hated every minute of this class because he had us all try playing instrument surprisingly Stacey and Elenora could both play most of the instruments, no surprise they are of high rank I can sense it. I was soooo fed of this school already wanted to ditch the rest of they day but decided against it so I can get to know Elenora some more.

I texted Darius to gloat:

" Hey how's class?"

He replied almost instantly "Interesting, Troy and I smelled our mate on the same girl. Maybe she hangs with them or they are related." 

"Well I don't smell mine guess she isn't her. I did however meet two beauties who Lycans seem to be powerful. Tracey seems to see them as a threat." 

"why did I even had a fling with her?"

He sent the face palm emoji and I smiled. 

Lunch came by as fast as school started even though most classes were boring but my lil beauties was smart I did noticed that guy named Kenneth whom names I learnt from all the classes we have together, was actually trying hard to be friends with Elly and Stacey but she let him so I didn't fuss about it.

"hey wanna walk to the cafeteria together?" I asked Elly and Stacey.

"I can't my Dad wants me to grab lunch home for the first day."

she gave me an apologetic look I shrugged 

"That's ok, maybe next time we'd all get to eat together" I said pointing my chin and directing my eyes to Stacey " and you can meet my sister and my bestfriend" Looking at Elly they both smiled flashing their pearly whites making my heart flutter. They were gorgeous.

" well I'm staying for lunch tomorrow its just for today he is a little over protective, Stacey's Going to the cafeteria you can walk together" Elly said touching my arm. It wasn't a romantic touch because I seen her touch Stacey's arm like that when she talked to her, probably a reassurance. 

 "great I'm friend zoned now" I thought before I answered.

"No problem tomorrow it is. "I said winking at them, I turned I saw kenneth looking at Elly something flashed in his eyes but the look went away before I could decipher what it was. I ignored it and decided to text my buddy.

"see you in the café"

Elenora's POV

I walked out to my car leaving Stacey behind anxious to see Chellsey we had to drive fast because I wanted to know what my dad wanted, so I can be back to school before my next period. Then I see Kenneth catching up with me

"Hey you aren't having lunch in the school?"

"No dad wants me to go back for a quick chat and lunch." I said sighing

he laughed and offered me a smile "It's not that bad, I'm sure he just wants to inspect you and ask about the school."

"He could wait until schools finish." He was walking me to my car by this time.

"what you doing after school?"

"Well I have training with the pack after school."

"What pack are you from?" He was looking at me expectant "I'm from the royal pack." His eyes widened 

"I'm a rogue but I want to be part of a pack." He looked so dejected I couldn't help but ask "How are you a rogue?"

Lone Lycans are rare but he was a wolf so he must of committed a crime or his father/Mother.

"My dad is a rouge and he took me from my mother." I gasped I'm sorry Is your mom still alive?"

"Yeahhhhh I-I don't know what pack she is from, I've been in school looking up different pack and investigating in the alpha is good to its people." I looked at his with sadness and I said "Cheer up you have a friend in the Royal pack ill help you choose a pack.

He smiled and looked at the car I stopped at. "You're rich!" I could of sworn I seen resentment in his eyes, I guessed it was due to his father denying him of a proper life with his mom. He must have had a hard time. but when he looked at me his eyes soften but it almost looked fake. My Lycan was alert Flashing her eyes at him in warning he lowered his head and mumbled sorry. "Its okay my beast will come forward if she see's a challenge. He said "it's okay I was just thinking of my dad and didn't direct the aggression at you. "I know it's my beast, don't be upset. I'm you friend now so no worries." He smiled " I guess ill get to lunch now." waving me a good-bye he left a little too quickly.

"damnnn Sia you scared my friend and he is fragile, didn't you hear his dad took him from his mom" she huffed "Don't trust him so easily I sensed the aggression he was giving off."  " He isn't from our pack he doesn't know I'm a royal so I can make friends." She sighed " whatever Elly I'll protect you either way once we s**t that is. so for now stay safe and be extra cautious please." she pleaded with me and I agreed she was content then receded to the back of my mind.

I stood by the car for a full minute after Kenneth left before I see her fast walking to me.

"Why do I have to come with you? I wanna stay and ogle Prince Darius" she asked looking annoyed, I couldn't care less about her sh*tty excuse. If I have to go back she do too.

"I don't wanna tempt myself in staying for training ditching you guys at school" so I gave her a lamer excuse.

she laughed at that hopping in the car. "you wouldn't dare leave us here" I scowled she giggled.

The drive back to the palace was 15 minutes considering my speed at over 120 mph Chellsey was looking at me all red in the face from anger.

" Don't you care about your precious car? you drive like a maniac. I'm surprised you haven't ran someone over." she rolled her eyes and put her hand on her chest like a drama queen "I may be a Lycan but my heart will explode"

"Sorry but I don't want to be here long" I walked into the palace and went straight into my dads office and he was sitting talking with a handsome older man His eyes were so brown they almost looked gold, I didn't know having a round face with a beard will look good but boy was he good looking his jaw was so well defined even his cheek bones had me wondering if he was a model, but I sniffed and smelled Lycan on him..

At the opening of the door both my dad and this handsome man looked at me and Chellsey.

"Hey Elenora I'd like you to meet  King Marvin Steele his youngest Son Prince Darius and the children of his Beta and his 3rd are going to your school. He hopes maybe they can find their mate in the US."

"It's nice to meet you" OMGGGGG His accent was so thick. I smiled and said " The pleasure is mine"

He smiled and I couldn't help but look at his teeth. They were so sharp.

"your eyes are just like your grandmother's only lighter."

looking at my dad he said "Adam she is a beauty if only she could be my daughter in-law Michael would have his queen and I'd get wonderful Grand children."

My dad growled while King Steele put his hands up in defense and winked at me and I giggled "I'm Just kidding Adam"

"Lets discuss what you came to discussed" he said shooing me away. I guessed its because he didn't want his baby daughter marrying a crown Prince because that'll mean I'll leave here.

looking at my dad " Did you really call me for lunch?" I asked not amused one bit about the marrying comment the king made

"I did indeed want you to eat lunch here but also wanted to inform you to show the children around the pack lands they'll be staying in the palace until they finish school, you'll need to be on your best behavior." He said warning me.

"I wont be here when you come after school so I wanted to say it to your face."

I just gave a nervous laugh but quickly dismissed myself. " I'll be good is my lunch ready ill eat it on the way back to the school. Are you staying with us as well King Steele?" 

"No I'll be heading back to England in 1 hour just came to settle this matter personally with your father."

As if on que my dad dismissed us and and they returned to there conversation. I left and went to collect my lunch from the chef which was my fav  I guessed my my dad had it prepared for us knowing I'd bring Chellsey , I had Chicken alfredo with pepper shrimp, Chellsey just grabbed a spinach alfredo and grilled lemon chicken. We ate on the way back to school and I was proud to make it back to school just 1 minute before lunch was over. I went straight to my locker and fetched my thing for my next class. When I walked into Calculus I saw Stacey and she looked extra happy. "Someone's in a good mood." I smiled at my besties twin.

 "I've found my mate." she said dreamily " I'm so happy for you " I said genuinely happy for her. "Who is he?"

He is a new kid from England, The king's Beta son he, is also a twin apparently Tracey's brother his name is Troy."

"He is so handsome" She stated dreamily.

I sighed "look at you all love struck already." I was a tad bit jealous I wanted to find my mate as well.

I decided to keep the fact that he will be living in the palace a secret until later. I snickered and she just rolled her eyes. " we will see when you find your mate how much of  mush you'll become." 

Just then Kevin walked in and gave me a look, His flirtatious smile no longer there. 

"What's up with you?" He just looked at me and said " Nothing, just one of my beauty is now mates with my friend."

"aww shouldn't you be happy for him?" he just grunted and took his seat next to Stacey. I laughed.

  Soon school was over and I made my way to my locker, My beast was restless and I couldn't figure out why.

As I neared the front of the school with Stacey and Kevin My beast surged forward "Elly I smell our mate." I was excited at first but then I became a little depressed he wouldn't be able to claim me because I haven't had my first shift. "It's okay he will still be aware of us so don't worry" she tried comforting but I mainly felt she was doing it for her sake more than mine. I sighed "I can't wait to see you" she chuckled "in due time Elly you only have a month again." Laughing I made my way to the front of the school and I almost fell when I smelt him.

Darius POV

Well Troy found his mate when we went to lunch and she looked exactly like the girl named Chellsey in our class. After troy explained she looked like another Chellsey she laughed and said she was her twin. They were all over each other at lunch and he even went to the office to make sure they had all the same classes. I had to do the same so as a 

"Royal" I'll have someone with me. I'm more than capable on handling myself but my father insist... so from tomorrow we will all be in the same class, even Kevin. School was a bore I was so happy when it ended only 1 year to go....

I reached my assigned locker and picked up my stuff and headed to my car to wait on Kevin. I get there and Chellsey is waiting on on the car next to mine. While Troy is standing by his car waiting on his mate.

I'm not much of a talker so I just stood there with a Hard expression I knew she wanted to say something but my eyes had her scared to speak up.....

I was about about to call Kevin when I smelled her Stronger this time. I whipped my head around when I smelt Fresh rain That's a Marker for us Lycans. It was mixed with the scent of cinnamon and honeysuckle, it's fruity and warm with hints of honey and ripe citrus. My eyes clashed with hers and my heart stopped, Time stood still as if we were the only two here. Her eyes were like fire drawing me in for the kill Those grey eyes were so clear they almost looked white, her skin was brown a nice caramel brown. Her lips was parted as if in shock I see her Lycan peaking through her Lycan's eyes are  Greyer than hers they look closer to white than her eyes. My legs move on their own accord as I see her knees get weak I stepped up to stop her from falling just as my hands slid around her waist my Beast surged forward to claim her with his words just as fast as hers 

"Mate."

"Mate!"

we said at the same time.
