The doctor’s instructions were very clear. I had to spend the rest of my pregnancy in bed or run the serious risk of losing my baby. Nathan fussed over me the entire time and even attended the birth of our daughter, who I called Olivia. When we left the clinic, he didn't drive me back to the house, instead taking me to the Anderson mansion. To this day, I’ve never seen a bigger place. He told me his daughter was going to grow up the way the rest of the Andersons had. He’d already prepared a huge room for mother and baby, tastefully decorated in beige and grey, with the exception of Olivia's crib, which was pink. His mother often comes into the room to look at Olivia. She calls her a little miracle and believes it’s her Olivia come back to life. However, she doesn’t speak to me. She thinks I’m a parasite, someone who manipulated her son and got into their lives. She has no idea about the truth, and Nathan says there’s no reason for her to. I’ve been at the Anderson’s for a little over a month now. Everything has been overwhelming. My life has changed so quickly, I can barely believe what’s happened. Nathan barely talks to me, and when he does, it’s only to ask about Olivia. He spends a lot of time holding her. Quite often I feel like I don't belong here, and that Olivia, Nathan and his mother could get along quite happily without me. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul, and I know if I take her away from Nathan, she’ll lose the bright future she can have with him. She could have the same bright future with her real father, Liam, but I’ve decided that she’ll never know about him. It’s clear to me who the father of my baby is, as the only person I used birth control with was my blackmailer. But that’s not for him or anyone else to know.
