WE SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS

The pitter patter of each beat of the raindrop grew louder as they hammered on the rooftop of his hut, at each stroke he caught from the side of his eye her heart almost escaping her chest as each beat rivalled against the tune of the rain. She drew in very deep breaths hoping to stable her throbbing heart but could do very little instead it quickened it pace at each breath she drew in through her widely opened mouth yet she tried not to look in his direction. The awkwardness rang aloud in the room as each person tried to act nonexistent to the other but almost to no avail. He stood a few steps away from the door battling with his mind to concentrate on the rain and not her, his hands were folded at his back, his eyes now drawn to the roofing searching for where there might be leaks or at least something to help him from thinking about her in a way which he felt might lead him to trouble and as the rain raged on, his thoughts drew farther away to what might happen if it didn't stop raining soon. Thirty minutes later it still hadn't stopped raining outside and it still was showing no signs of it stopping anytime soon and the only form of communication between them to this point was a few glances every now and then at each other no words said. Finally his wits kicked in he offered her a wooden bench that sat quietly behind her she nodded, arms folded in her front, forming a x right across her chest, he offered her another iro to shield her from the icy claws of the night cold, she stretched her hand to receive it and Folu's oversized buba revealed a portion of her cleavage, he was taken aback by its sight, forced himself to push down the saliva that formed at the back of his throat, quickly looking away to avoid her seeing the lust in his eyes. "Ó ni le ko ri bo ojo yii Dunni o si je ko da di e ki o to ma lo mi o si ko la ti sin e dele ti ojo na ba da" he responded after she finally asked him to look outside and confirm if she could leave while it still rained. An hour passed yet the rain only got worse from there on, it seemed Sango was having one of his many mood swings and he thought flashing thunderbolts to an heavy rain orchestrated by one of his wives was the next best thing at that moment. She tried to argue but he countered her every words with more reasons her leaving wouldn't be in her best interest and soon after a period of two hours of an heavy downpour she started thinking of excuses to give to her mother the next morning since it was looking very likely she might not be going home that night as it had already became pitch black outside. Somehow it rained into the dead of night, she was left with no choice but to pass the night at his hut hoping to leave before at the first crow of the hen in the morning. She'd first stop at Shalewa's place she thought, explain the event of the previous night and also ask her to provide her with an alibi should incase her mother were to ask but what if her mom had already gone in search of her, she thought, there were so many "what ifs" going through her head at the moment but no answers were coming. He knew she couldn't be seen coming out of his hut the next morning should peradventure she spent the night, he had sworn Folu and Daud to secrecy but he had hoped his grandmother hadn't seen her enter as she was the third person present when he had led her in. It was an abominable act for a lady to sleep at the house of a man she was neither betrothed nor married to so he knew he had to be very vigilant in this case. Surely it wasn't the first time she'd spent the night away from her mothers house, there had been a night her mother visited her fathers family without her, she had had to sleep at Shalewa's house for two nights till her mother got back. So hopefully she thought to herself she'd convince Shalewa to vouch for her and tell her mother shewas at her place the previous night. "Se otutu yi o si wa po ju" his voice knocked her out of her thoughts and at first she'd pretended not to have heard him but he pacedtwo steps towards her, his shadow drawn by the dimly lit oil lamp was a foreboding one that covered a portion of her face. He bent a knee to help him make contact with hersince his body had shielded her face from the lamp, he met a fiery gaze but was undeterred, he repeated "Se otutu yi o si wa po ju Dunni". She tilted her head both ways as if to signal "NO" but he misread her intent and few seconds later he was handing another "iro" to cover herself. As his thumb brushed the back of her thumb, Sango released a resounding thunderbolt so loud that weren't sure if it was for that reason they felt an electrifying pulseas their hands came in contact, her heart skipped a beat and she could feel the vibration from his body and quickly she tried to draw her hand away but he held it still, she tried to free her hand from his hold again but this time he had already covered the back of her hand with his palm, tugged at it as if to tell her to stop trying toget away from him. With each tug she softened till he brought her to touch his lips and soon after her fingers found a way to the insides of his mouth, tasting each withattentiveness, sucked on each gently and skillfully causing her insides to clench with excitement, he pulled away from her thumb, helped her up to meet his gaze and as theypeered into each others eyes they further succumbed to the lustfulness that smeared them. He gently tugged her chin forward, he planted a kiss at the corner of her mouththen drew a line from the side of her mouth to her mouth to her ear with his tongue. He took his time sucking on each slowly before bringing his lips to crash on hers,as their lips touched she let out a low growl that reeked of arousal and he moaned back into her mouth and they both went on exploring every inch of the insides of theirmouth, he tried to cup her breast with his hand, surprise at his boldness she pulled away from him folded her hands across her chest, face pointing downwards she muttered"Ko ye ki a ma se ohun ti a nse yii" her voice was low and crisp but resonated authority and he could only nod in acknowledgement, stood away from where she sat, paced backto the door, pulled from beside it, spread it on the floor and laid. forced his eyes shut and within minutes he was fast asleep. He wasn't sure if it was Folu or the sound of the hen that awoke him the next morning but as he turned to look at her, he met an empty mat and his "iro" he had giventhe previous night, she had left already and it was barely dawn.
