The following morning dawned bright and warm. The birds were singing outside the window. Emily was lying in Mark's arms, breathing evenly and falling asleep. Maybe it was because Mark stayed in bed for too long yesterday. So Mark woke up early today. His breath blew on Emily's hair, which ran over her face, making her frown.
“Hey, my sweet little slob. The birds outside are looking for food. If you don't wake up, they will take you away!” Mark's low voice was even more attractive.
Emily yawned and stretched for another minute before opening her eyes: “Oh... Dear...” Then she left Mark's arms and took a look at the bedside clock. She said, “Oh my God... It's only eight o'clock in the morning...”
As she said, she got into the bed again. She put her face the her hands into the warm quilt, just leaving her eyes exposed and squinting at Mark.
Looking at Emily like this, Mark couldn't help but laugh out loud: “Our honeymoon isn't over yet, honey. If you don't get up, you'll miss a lot of good things.” Then he flashed a sly smile and gave Emily a wink in the way.
"Oh..." Emily shook her head helplessly, and then she stretched her arms out and gave a great yawn again before sitting up. Mark had already got up and washed.
When they were both ready, Emily asked expectantly, "So where are we going today?" The scenery of the sea was also very good, but when she enjoyed it for two days in a row, they really needed some fresh air.
Mark put his arm around Emily's waist and kissed her cheek: “You'll find out later, dear. Let's have breakfast first.”
Due to the buffet last night, neither of them were hungry. They just ate some sandwiches, drank the milk and left the hotel early.
Maybe it was early and there weren't many people on the road. Mark and Emily walked hand in hand along the street slowly. It was in a remote area and there weren't many shops. Emily wondered, "Are we just walking around here?"
Mark looked at Emily and smiled, but he did not speak. After they walked for a while, he raised his hand and pointed to the right part ahead of them. "There's a car rental agency. We're going a distant place today, so we need to rent a car first." Emily was excited about it and she was looking forward to today's journey.
After renting a car, Emily got into the passenger seat and opened the window. The breeze gently brushed her cheek, and her eyes narrowed in pleasure. Mark caught a glimpse of Emily quickly, and he could not help reaching out and pinching her cheek.
Because the road was very empty, Mark drove the car very fast. It was not long before they arrived at the destination. This is the largest amusement park in this city. Emily pretended she wasn't excited but the expression on her face was a dead giveaway. “Come on, do you think I'm still a kid? You took me to the park!”
Of course, Mark knew what Emily thought. She loved all the dolls and everthing in the park, so he deliberately said: “Oh, really? Then we have to go somewhere else.” He pretended to turn around and leave, and Emily grabbed his hand.
“No! Uh... I mean, since we've already here, let's go check it out!” She quickly unfastened her seat belt, opened the door and got out of the car. Mark shook his head, smiled and parked the car. He out of the car and walked to Emily's side.
They bought the tickets at the ticket office, and they couldn't wait to enter the amusement park. Although it is a playground for kids, in fact, there are still many couples like Mark and Emily here. Of course, Mark also made preparations in advance.
Since this amusement park only charges admission tickets and the other items are completely free, it is also very famous for various items in the local city. Besides, there were no computerized reservation systems for the amusement park, so it is often difficult to get a ticket.
That's why he asked Emily to get up earlier, in case they couldn't enter the park.
After entering the park, the first thing they saw was the carousel. Emily was immediately attracted to it. She wanted to ride on the same horse with Mark, but she worried whether the horse could withstand the weight of two adults. But fortunately, some couples were also riding on the same horse.
It seemed that there was no problem.
So Emily quickly pulled Mark to the merry-go-round. She took the lead in picking a pink and white horse with a colorful tail, and sat on it. Then she quickly raised her hand to call Mark: "Hey honey, come on and sit over here!"
Emily infected Mark as her childlike smile, and then Mark walked quickly to the horse and rode on it. Emily felt Mark's arms wrapped around her waist. The horse was moving slowly with the beautiful music, and she felt that perhaps this was the best moment.
A few minutes later, the song and the horses stopped at the same time, and they knew that the horses were getting ready for their next guests. Emily left the carousel reluctantly, and Mark asked, "Do you want to play it again?" Emily shook her head.
"There are a lot of items. Let's go somewhere else." Emily craned her neck and looked around. Then she noticed that the roller coaster was not far from here.
“Hmm .... Do you want to play this?” Mark followed her gaze, then he asked her hesitantly. Emily isn't exactly an adventurous person. Maybe she'll be spooked by this game.
But Emily didn't look scared. She turned to Mark and replied, “Yes! I'd love to. You'll come with me, won't you?”
Mark touched her hair and smiled. "Come on, let's get in line."
There were a lot of people here, waiting to play the roller coaster, and it takes at least a few minutes. But it also gave them time to observe the people who are playing these projects. It was very noisy, full of screams and cries.
People on the roller coaster cluctched their seats, and the very large ups and downs of the tracks indicated the thrill of the ride. Looking at this, Emily silently squeezed Mark's hand.
After a while, it was time for Mark and Emily to play. They sit side by side in the seats and they fastened their seat belts. The staff pressed the button to switch it on. It slowly climbed the first ramp. With a scream from the tourists, the roller coaster descended like an arrow.
“Oh! Oh, my God!” Emily shrieked in fright like other tourists. Her eyes were closed, her hands clenched helplessly and she didn't know where to place them. The wind was right in their faces. Soon the roller coaster came to the second slope, which was steeper than the previous one, and Emily's eyes closed again before she had opened them.
Mark grabbed his seat belt with one hand and held Emily's fist with the other: “Hey, honey! Don't be afraid! I'm here!” He had to raise his voice so that Emily could hear him through the screams and the wind.
Emily nodded, then the roller coaster quickly rushed down the slope.
About five minutes later, Mark and Emily came out of the exit, and Emily put her right hand over her heart and said, trembling: “Oh, my God! This is so exciting. Maybe I will never choose roller coaster again in my life...” Mark was much more relaxed, but considering Emily's condition, he deliberately bypassed some exciting items.
The light was beginning to fail, and the park was gradually more and more crowded. There was still a queue for playing on the night. After playing several items in succession, these two decided to go back on the Ferris wheel for the last time. While they were waiting in line, Mark's cell phone rang.
"Hey, it's not another thing from work, is it?" Emily asked. Mark looked at the incoming call on his phone, but his expression was a little nervous.
“Uh... No, I don't know this number. Maybe it's a mistake.” Mark hung up and continued to line up as if nothing had happened. But the bell soon rang again.
"Maybe you should answer the phone." The annoying bell ring almost drove Emily crazy, and she realized that the call didn't seem to stop easily.
“Sorry... Just give me a second. It'll only take a few minutes.” After that, Mark left the queue and he went a little further to take the call. Because of the noise in the park, Emily couldn't hear Mark.
It was Emily's turn, but she stepped back and she nodded as a sign for the people behind her to step forward. As she waited for Mark, she looked at the other couples talking and laughing together in the queue, and she felt a little uncomfortable.
A few minutes later, the next round of the Ferris wheel began, and Mark finally trotted back to Emily.
“So... You're leaving now, aren't you?” Emily looked into Mark's eyes." Still the difficult client?"
“Uh... Yes, I'm sorry.” Before Mark could finish, Emily cut him off.
"Are you going to leave me here alone?" She asked in a neutral tone of voice, though her eyes were already moist.
“No, we'll drive back to the hotel, and then I'll go to see the client. I'll be back soon this time, and I'm pretty sure that I can have dinner with you this time, dear. I won't keep you waiting so long as last time.” Mark's words were a little harsh, so Emily didn't want to look at him. She just nodded and followed Mark out.
Two people sat in the car all the way silent, perhaps today's trip was too tiring. Emily gently closed her eyes. It took longer than the morning before the car finally got back to the hotel. Emily unfastened her seat belt and was about to get out of the car when Mark stopped her.
"Wait, honey." Then he kissed her on the forehead and told her, "I'll be back soon."
Emily didn't answer and she just got out of the car. Then Mark left without stopping for a second. She looked at the back of the car and stood there for a minute before finally returning to the room.
Today, they only had breakfast, and now Emily had slight stomach pains. She clutched her belly and curled up on the bed, quietly waiting for Mark's return. She didn't know exactly which client he was going to meet with or where he was going. The light made Emily's eyes uncomfortable, so she closed them and fell asleep.
Not knowing how long after that, the sound of the door woke Emily. Mark walked into the room. As he went past there was a gust of strong perfume. It was the same smell as the other day, but stronger.
“Oh... Mark……” Emily, whose stomach was still uncomfortable. The clock by her bed pointed to 9 p.m. and she got up to find something to eat.
Mark approached Emily with a strong smell of perfume. "Honey, I said I'd be back sooner, right?" He picked up Emily. "Let's go to have dinner now."
Emily nodded and followed Mark. She walked out of the room and got in the car. Mark opened the door and sat in. Emily was going to sit on the passenger seat, but she noticed a lipstick, which was not the brand she used.
She picked up the lipstick and opened the lid to take a look. The lipstick had obvious signs of use, indicating that a woman had left it on the car. She held up the lipstick and looked at Mark's eyes with her moist eyes, and then asked in a muffled voice, "What is this?"
"Damn..." Mark saw what she had in her hand, subconsciously said a dirty word, and then he quickly waved, "Uh... I don't know, maybe, maybe the client accidentally left the lipstick in my car while I was driving. "
Emily did not speak yet, and he quickly denied: “No! The lipstick should have been there when we rented the car. It was from the car rental agency. They rented the car to us without cleaning it up! It must be so!”
Emily shook her head in pain and covered her mouth with a hand, struggling to make her voice: “What is this... You tell me what this is!”
As if she could not bear it any longer, she crouched down, and she could no longer hold back her tears. It was not the first time she had cried in front of Mark, but it was the first time she had cried out because of the pain.
Mark quickly got out of the car, and he hugged Emily on his knees, still defending himself: “Honey, you trust me. You said you'd believe me no matter what, didn't you? I really don't know why this lipstick is in the car. I didn't do anything!”
The violent stomachache and the smell of Mark's perfume made it difficult for Emily to breathe, and the surrounding tourists didn't stop, just looked at them and hurried away.
Mark hugged Emily, kissing her forehead and cheeks, and pleading, "Darling, I beg you to believe me, I swear to God, I love you forever!"
And God seems to have received the signal. It was thundering unexpectedly, and then a heavy rain suddenly fell down, and soon both of them were wet.
Emily shook her head. Rain dripped from her face, being mixed with her tears. “Go back... I want to go back...”
Mark immediately nodded: “No problem! It's raining. Let's go to our room.” He was going to help Emily stand up
But Emily didn't want to get up. She just said softly: “No. I don't want to stay in this place anymore... I want to return home...”
