Michael’s POV “What the hell just happened?” someone muttered behind me. Like I had a clue. No one did. “Well, that was pathetic,” Luna Annie sneered, her voice laced with amusement. I clenched my jaw, forcing down the growl that threatened to escape. Reacting would only make me look suspicious. I had never heard of someone's shift reversing before. It simply wasn’t possible. Before Jessica’s shift had begun, Raymond had reached out to us through the Alpha bond, urging us to say something to trigger the transformation. Karl had eagerly set the stage, starting the taunts, and the rest of us had followed suit. I hadn’t wanted to, but when every Alpha in the arena was playing along, I had no choice. And yet, instead of completing her shift, Jessica now lay motionless on the ground.
