Chapter 11

2766 Words

11 By the time Colin and Ramsey arrived, Ian, Hudson, and I had almost a dozen ideas to help Anna and the others in her neighborhood. We filled them in on what we were planning and they wanted to do something also. “I could offer free legal advice,” Ramsey suggested. “Maybe even help some of them get loans or make connections with other people in the community.” “I think anything to give back works. I hate to admit I haven’t spent much time there since I moved out,” I told them. “I don’t like going back.” “Going back is never easy,” Hudson said, his gaze distant. “Think you’ll ever date again?” Colin asked him. If any of the rest of us had asked, Hudson would have walked away, but Colin made everyone feel like he just wanted to know you better. Colin didn’t know how to judge people.
