Just when I shut my eyes to kiss Emanuel, we both heard the rambunctious sound of footsteps. The noise only seemed to be getting louder and louder, indicating that we were going to soon come face to face with someone. Unsure of who it could be, Emanuel pressed his hand against my mouth to shut me up. He didn’t want to take any chances of being discovered.
To our surprise, they knew our exact location and headed straight to where we were hiding. While we both thought we would be forced to fight again for our lives, the person standing on the other side of the bushes called out to us, “We’ve been looking for you for some time now.”
