Silence…
Beautiful silence.
I couldn’t hear not a see a thing. My senses seemed to have shut down as it felt like my life was on a pause.
Was I dying?
The sudden distant voices along with a constant beep sound in the background makes me realize that I was still alive.
I try opening my eyes but the blinding lights causes me to shut them back. Waiting for a few minutes, I try them opening them again, slowly this time and I am successful.
The high white colored ceiling beautified with silver chandeliers telling me that I was still at Julian’s Palace.
“Melissa?” I hear the familiar voice of Anthony, followed by footsteps.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” I attempt getting up but I feel a sharp pain around my body, causing me to lay back down.
Anthony wasn’t alone in the room.
