I shuffled from foot to foot in the doorway of Nora's apartment, not wanting to say goodbye. Jimmy had already gone downstairs to bring the car around the front of the building.
"Well, I guess I should get going..." I mumbled, sliding my hands into my pockets.
"Yea, will I see you again soon?" Nora asked, fiddling with the key on the inside of the door.
"I am going to make it happen." I promised, stepping forward so that we were so close I could feel her breath on my skin.
"I look forward to it." Nora said, a smile playing on her lips.
"And, just for the record, I don't care how complicated things are, I am willing to wait." I whispered in her ear before kissing Nora's cheek quickly and walking out of the apartment toward the stairs. I knew if I waited for the elevator, I woul
