I was sitting in the car way earlier than I needed to be. I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel impatiently. My eyes were fixed on the clock inside the car, waiting for the minute when it ticked onto eleven o'clock. I had worked out that to arrive in Melbourne at Nora's apartment by twelve thirty, I would need to leave the campsite at eleven o'clock. I had been sitting in this car since ten thirty, waiting, impatiently, for the clock to tick.
I groaned, leaning my head back onto the headrest.
"Still waiting?" Jimmy asked as he poked his head through the open driver's side window.
"Yesss..." I grumbled.
"I told you that you should have gone for a run this morning. Take up more time so that you don't have too long to wait." Jimmy rolled his eyes.
