Nora Mum was busily stuffing things into a basket to take to the party. I groaned. I couldn't understand why Mum spent so much time and effort on Mason’s nineteenth birthday party when he was a complete jerk to her and everyone else. "You wanted me?" I asked as I walked towards her. Mum didn't even look up from what she was doing. "Oh, Nora! Thank goodness, I need to grab some things from the pantry to take to the party, can you help?"
