I stood in the doorway, watching Dad load the last of my boxes and bags into the back of his car. My car was already stuffed full of my belongings and ready to go. I could hear Mum sniffing, holding back tears, in the kitchen. She had been trying to hide her emotion from me all morning but it was impossible to hide it all.
"I can't wait to have my workout room!" Mason exclaimed to Jameson as they walked up the stairs behind me. I rolled my eyes. I could not wait to get out of here.
"Me either! I am going to be here so often! You'll just have to get rid of the loser stench in the room!" Jameson howled with laughter before Mason joined in. Emerald was growling low in my chest. I pushed her down. That last thing I wanted was to create a scene and delay leaving.
