A Grievous Awakening

Stefano was in shock as he headed back to the base with the remaining of his gang members. He spoke to no one and turned deaf ears to everyone as well. Vincent was really worried and spoke all manner of appraising words to Stefano but they all kept falling like a pack of cards.

Guillermo noticed Stefano and the gang members approach the gate and he was so shocked his brother made it back alive. He thought Lucas would kill him but it seemed as though Stefano had conquered. Guillermo walked to Stefano trying to greet him. Stefano pushed him away in disgust as he didn't want to talk to anyone.

“What's the matter?” Guillermo asked as Stefano walked past him.

Everyone was quiet as well as they watched Stefano head for his inner chamber.

“What's going on here?” Guillermo asked more curiously.

“It was all your fault,” Vincent replied in anger.

“How dare you?” Guillermo raged as he walked closer to Vincent.

“You can't do anything to me, and I am not afraid of you. You are so much unlike your brother. You are just a coward.” Vincent spoke up to Guillermo in boldness.

He never feared Guillermo a bit, and neither did he trust him. He feels there is a lot about Guillermo no one is paying attention aside from him but he just needs proof.

“What did you just say to me?” Guillermo talked in an angry manner pulling out his knife from his sleeve.

“Enough! We have more important matters than this. The lady we have been searching for is the daughter of Simon and that makes her a culprit by law.” another member chipped in.

“What! Did I hear you correctly?” Guillermo asked in shock but felt so happy within.

He maintained a face of anger and shock while he was happy that Stefano's world was now falling apart.

“My brother must be going through a lot.” Guillermo nodded his head in displeasure as he dispatched everyone to their various duty posts.

Guillermo then went to Stefano's room, he didn't see the need to leave him in a state like this. A state of mind that could be to his advantage after all.

“Can I come in?” Guillermo asked as he knocked on the door lightly.

“You may come in,” Stefano replied as he cleared his throat.

“Look! Stefano, I heard all that happened and that wretch needs to pay. Her wretched family brought us to this spot. I don't mind her paying for the crime too.” Guillermo suggested.

Guillermo deliberately aroused Stefano's anger so he could be pushed to the extreme.

“She is just like her father, she wanted fame and a high position in the community. I am sure her meeting you at the club was never a coincidence.”

Guillermo continued to feed Stefano with words and thoughts.

“Enough, Guillermo. I don't need this right now. I am better off alone at the moment.” Stefano interrupted in annoyance.

Guillermo left the room as it left Stefano drowning in thoughts. He couldn't believe all that he got in a day. He blamed himself for being foolish and he swore to himself that justice for his father would happen regardless of his love for the stranger.

Stefano asked for a quick meeting with all the gang members in KING. He assembled them immediately and told them about what he now knew so they could all be in one accord.

“The past has now caught up with us due to a mistake which will be addressed now. Simon's daughter is alive and roaming about the streets and we have to kill her because by law she is also a culprit.”

He took a pause and stared at everyone while he paced around them. Stefano kept a straight face so that everyone could tell that something bloody was about to take place.

“Rico!”

“Miles!”

He echoed their names out and hesitated for a minute before he said “Stand on the board.”

Their hearts were panting because they knew what standing on the board could mean, but they desperately wanted to be favored in their hearts.

“If I remember correctly, You both were asked to head back to check and see if all his family members were dead.”

He paused for a few seconds and hesitatingly said “Am I correct?”

Fear gripped Rico and Miles that they didn't know the best answer to give to angry Stefano but they knew they just had to give a reply.

“Ye…yes, my lord.” They both echoed in fear.

“Good.”

“How come his female child is alive and grown now? What do you have to say about that?” Stefano asked with a very audible voice.

“It was a mistake, my lord,” Rico answered in fear stammeringly.

“Oh, I see!”

Stefano walked close to Rico and gave him a very evil smile.

“It was a mistake.” He laughed much more as he reminisced on the statement.

“How do you want your death, Rico? A bullet through your head or making your head added to the artifacts of KING?”

Rico began to plead for his life and promised never to do any wrong again. Stefano turned deaf ears towards him and in anger shot him in the head with his body lifeless on the floor.

“How about you Miles? What do you have to say in your defense?”

“Nothing, my lord. Just take care of my wife and kids for me when I am gone. That's all I ask.”

“Farewell.” Stefano immediately said as he blew Rico's head off with his gun and left him lifeless.

“Well, this is just a sample to anyone that flaws while we search for this lady. We must find her!” Stefano raged.

“And…. Bring her alive to me. I want to witness her death.”

Stefano lastly said as he signaled a few of them to clear the dead bodies and get to work. Stefano walked back to his room, he knew deep down that regardless of the hurt he still loved the strange lady but still determined to honor his father.
