A Night to Remember

It was late at night, a few minutes to 9 pm. Teresa headed to the third floor as she earlier agreed with Louisa. She began to pace back and forth waiting for her Convent friend. A part of her felt Louisa was probably teasing her but she was determined to wait. “Just as I expected,” Louisa whispered just behind Teresa. Teresa was startled but not for long as all her mind was about them going beyond the walls. “Sorry to startle you that way, are you ready?” Louisa asked in confirmation. “More than ready, Louisa. Let's go already.” They both began to sneak downwards to the basement of the Convent. Desperately scaling through the active nuns discreetly. “The Convent has a basement?” Teresa asked in shock. “Yes it does, and they never share this with anyone unless it involves an emergency,” Louisa answered confidently. They walked through the basement and finally into the vibrant streets of East Harlem with a great determination to forget the sadness in Teresa's heart. Louisa decided to take Teresa to a local nightclub, she had been there a few times. At the local nightclub, they lost themselves in the captivating music and flashing colored lights. Teresa felt dumbfounded, alive, and free from the convent's constraints for the first time in her life. She danced to the music even though she did it a bit weirdly from others which caused a sense of attention to herself, Teresa decided just to have fun regardless. That's when she saw him – Stefano Dante, the KING gang's ruthless leader. His piercing eyes locked onto hers, and Teresa felt an inexplicable connection. It was a deep connection no one else was feeling knowing he was the ruthless gang leader aside from Teresa. Stefano's presence was so imposing that no one could look away, his broad shoulders and chiseled features commanding so much attention. Yet, Teresa sensed a deep sadness in his eyes, a pain that resonated with her own even though she couldn't explain it. Stefano approached Teressa with a strong-looking face as he never really smiled at anyone. “Let's dance,” Stefano said fiercely. Teresa's thought lingered as she heard his voice and noticed his manner of approach but she chose to pay less attention to it. She agreed to dance with him which amazed everyone. As they danced passionately, Stefano's touches began to send shivers down Teresa's spine. She felt drawn to him, even though he was a stranger and she couldn't say why. Teresa loved every bit of it. The touches were new to her and unique from the feminine touches she had had in the Convent which were normal. Stefano's touches made her body react with a certain sensation she couldn't explain. Stefano's eyes burned with intensity. "I want you, Teresa," he whispered, his breath sending shivers down her spine as they danced locked into each other. Teresa's heart skipped a beat. "I want you too," she replied, her voice barely audible. Their lips met in a fiery kiss, with the world around them melting away. Louisa was shocked to see Teresa have a deep kiss on her first night outside the Convent, that scared her a bit but she wanted Teresa to be free and have fun regardless. The deep kiss attracted the crowd to Stefano and Teresa which made all the people murmur. That was the first time Stefano would have a countryside lady willingly kiss him. Many ladies were scared of him and never desired to go close because he had their life in his hands and just one mistake could cost their life. Teresa noticed amongst the crowd that a man was pointing at her and communicating with another as if he knew her and that got Teresa agitated. “What is your name?” Stefano asked Teresa was about to answer when she realized the men she discovered pointing at her were now walking toward her. “I need to go.” She quickly said as she forcibly loosened the grip of Stefano. She ran out of the club with Louisa behind her. Teresa ran as fast as she could, paying deaf ears to Louisa's questions till they got to a more hidden spot. “Something was going on at the club and if we didn't leave, it would have been a disaster. Trust me, Louisa.” Teresa spoke as she tried to regain her breath after running that long distance. “So what do we do now?” Louisa asked in confusion. “Let's head back to the Convent, we have had enough for tonight.” Teresa immediately responded. So they journeyed back to the convent leaving Stefano at the club. He couldn't understand all that played out earlier, it was quite new and weird of him. Stefano felt like he knew Teresa from somewhere, her eyes sent a message but he couldn't bring himself to understand it. “What's the matter, My lord?” One of the gang members noticed the look on Stefano's face. “There is something about her eyes. Let's just get to work.” He said as he walked out of the club. His gang members followed him back to the KING. Stefano got back still feeling disturbed about what happened between him and Teresa. “I must have her to myself.” He said to himself as he paced back and forth in his room in the mansion. He called forth Vincent, his most trusted member. “I am here, my Lord.” Vincent rushed in and affirmed his presence. “Did you notice the lady at the club earlier today?” Stefano asked in a calm voice. “Yes, I did.” “Do you by any chance know where she lives or have you seen her before?” Stefano asked in curiosity. “No, my Lord. Just seeing her for the first time.” Vincent answered hastily. “I want her, hopefully, she comes by tomorrow at the club,” Stefano said with a large grin. He signaled Vincent to leave as he kept reminiscing about Teresa, a strange lady he just met. “Is it all a dream or is this real?” He thought to himself.
