Chapter Seventeen Marilyn was late on the set of her new film ‘The Misfits’ as usual and Clark Gable was trying to remain calm. She had a way of melting any objection to her lateness or insistence to do every scene dozens of times but it was starting to wear a bit thin. Clark turns to Eli Wallach and says, “As much as I love her, if that girl raises my blood pressure one more time I’m outta here.” Marilyn gives a heart rendering performance about the fate of the horses that Clark Gabel’s character is looking to catch to make into glue.
