Chapter Twenty Two Marilyn’s body is in the morgue; The Coroner comes in, takes the sheet off her body and starts taking a few Polaroid photos. He places some on a clipboard and sneaks a few into his jacket pocket then leaves. Not long after Marilyn is surrounded by a bright light and within minutes all that is left on the slab is the sheet she was covered in. Flatfoot O’Reilly, as he is affectionately known is the policeman who has been standing outside the morgue door keeping guard; he quickly goes to the toilet and meets a pressman who gives him a camera and $100.
