"Mother," my sons Hunter and Hayden greeted me as they stepped into our home after what felt like an eternity.
Glancing past them, I noticed Lily was conspicuously absent, igniting a spark of annoyance within me. Why wasn't she with them?
"Where is Lily?" I inquired, closing the door behind them.
"She's not coming," Hunter responded, while the two of them exchanged greetings with their father.
"And why isn't she? Why did you two come alone?" Despite the warmth I felt at seeing my sons, tonight was not the night for such joy.
"We've encountered a bit of a problem," Hayden explained.
"What problem? Since the time you two took over the company, you've never faced any issues or required assistance. So, what on earth could you possibly be dealing with?" My curiosity ming
