I sat in front of my daughter's two bosses, my arms crossed tightly against my chest. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined Lily's future would come to this.
I scrutinized their behavior closely, noting their possessiveness, kindness, care, concern, clinginess, and unmistakable jealousy. Lily seemed oblivious to it all, but I picked up on it within minutes of meeting them.
