I heard a faint beeping sound around me as I slowly attempted to pry my eyes open. A gentle hand was caressing my cheek lovingly, a gesture that reminded me of my mother's comforting touch. When I managed to open my eyes, I found Hunter sitting beside me. Confusion washed over me as I realized I was in my room, with no memory of how I got there. "What happened?" I questioned, trying to piece together the events leading up to this moment. "You fainted a few hours back," he explained, his expression filled with concern. "But why?" I pressed, feeling a sense of unease creeping over me. "Your body's vasovagal reflex was triggered," Hunter elaborated. "It causes the heart rate to slow and the blood vessels to widen, or dilate. This reflex can be triggered by many things, including stress.
