Dropping a few files on the table, Olivia rudely addressed me with a sassy attitude, her tone dripping with impatience. "I need you to get these done for me by the end of tomorrow," she demanded, her sassiness palpable. With a few tasks already looming over me before the deadline, I found myself wondering why Olivia was delegating her work to me. What could she possibly have planned for the entire day that prevented her from handling it herself? "And why should I?" I questioned, turning to her with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "Why? Because I won't be able to finish them in time, and I'll be busy. That leaves you to help me with my tasks, and isn't that what best friends are for?" she retorted, rolling her eyes dismissively as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
