3. Meeting the Alpha

1508 Words
"Nothing," I immediately said the first thing that came to my mind. "Nothing, I see," he chuckled with a smug smile on his face before tossing away the cigarette and moving towards me trapping me between the chair. 'Geez, this is a bad sign, not good,' I thought to myself. "I'm giving you one last time to tell me yourself," he asked and I gulped, staring at his pink kissable lips. "Alpha, I behave clumsily and usually trip on the stairs," I lied perfectly through my teeth, lowering my eyes in submission, hoping he would believe me. "Really?" he asked furrowing his brows, and I was glad he was buying it because the longer I stay here, the more trouble I am in. I slowly nodded and he let out a devilish laugh before staring at me and I could feel my heart plummeting against my chest. 'What's he gonna do now.' He grabbed my chin as if attempting to bring my face closer to his, his face had become stern as he stared at me, I gulped praying to the heavens to save me from this mess. "You want to know what I hate most," his voice came out in a harsh stern way yet it sounded deep husky hypnotizing to my ears. I know exactly what I am doing, 'I was burying my grave.' I nodded my head in a 'No' while he was still holding my chin, his grip on my chin tightened and I think the spot is going to turn red. "I hate liars the most," he finally clarified with his gaze now on my lips. "So if you know what's best for you, tell me before I find out myself," he commanded, the aura surrounding him was so strong and scary that I felt like I had jumped out of my skin yet I was still sitting down staring at his eyes. In a flick of a second, my gown was ripped from my shoulder and I was very angry with it. That gown was given to me by Teresa this morning, if she finds out about what happened to the dress, I will be doomed for it. Anyway, one problem at a time. I flinched, snapping at the myriads of thoughts in my brain when I felt a finger tracing my bruises. "Who did this to you?" he demanded suddenly making me jerk with surprise. I could see his blue eyes slowly changing into silver. It was evident that his wolf was trying to take control. I bit my lower lip as I stared at him, whenever someone in the pack transforms before me, it surely meant I was in trouble but now this alpha is doing the same, it could only mean one thing.... I was in danger, a great one to be precise. I clamped my mouth shut, I have nothing to say because mentioning Teresa's name also means death. And I don't even see any reason why an alpha with a great reputation like him should care about my bruises. Besides, why should I tell him when he accused me of being a witch? strange Alpha, isn't he? "I'm asking you a question," his voice came out in a deep raspy way yet I felt shivers and excitement buzzing through me. Before I could say anything else, I heard the door open slightly and I was about to thank the person for the interruption when I saw Teresa, wearing a flimsy purple nightgown in which I could easily see what was underneath it, peeking through and asking in a meek voice. "Alpha, may I come in." Alpha Logan slowly straightened himself before shutting his eyes tight and turning back to his desk. "No, you can't," he growled and I could see Teresa cowering in fear. "I don't want to talk to anybody right now." Hearing that, I immediately head straight for the door before running down the hallways walking into my room, placing the document down, and crawling towards the bed, I was just too tired to walk there right now. Just then, I heard the door creak open with a furious-looking Teresa. "What were you doing in the alpha's office?" she asked pointing one of her long sharp manicured nails at me. "The alpha called me, I didn't mean to go," I replied slowly moving backward. "And why in the hell's name is your dress torn like this, who are you trying to fool!" she growled before gripping my neck tightly with her sharp claws. I looked at her, I just hate her from the button of my heart, I could say nothing as the grip on my neck was already too tight. "Teresa, leave the girl alone," someone interrupted her making her drop me lying flat on the floor. It was Tate, her brother. "Shut up Tate! how dare you speak to me that way, now leave as you can see I still have a lot of business to do." "I think this might interest you but alpha Steve is looking for you," he said nonchalantly. "What! he's looking for me? I have already told him so many times that I am done with him." "I guess you should go and tell him that yourself, I don't want to get a scar from an already drunk alpha." "Fine! I am coming when I am done with her," she insisted. "Do as you please, who cares anyway," he muttered before leaving. "How the hell do you know beta Toran and why the hell did he save you, or don't tell me that you are now a w***e, you flirted with the beta and now the alpha, what exactly do you want from them." She demanded loudly. 'What the hell do you think I want.' I felt like saying but those words were stuck in my throat. "Answer me!" I immediately felt a harsh slap on my face and it stung like hell. "No I don't know beta Toran before and I didn't flirt with the alpha." I denied all her false accusations, she was no different from her mother, always making up stories on their own. "Tsk, tsk, my bad, maybe it's time to burst the bubble to you and make it clearer to you for you to know where you stand. Poor girl thinks being a slut to the high-ranked wolves would change your position and make you my equal, too bad you can never reach me!" She finally retracted her claws, releasing me and I felt immensely relieved. "You know what," she began twirling her hair with her hands. "My father decided to gift you to the alpha as his slave since you aren't worth anything." She paused for a while, her eyes sparkling with mischief, you know what that means right?" she asked me with a smug small smile on her face. Of course, I knew exactly what she meant, that meant I was a nobody, I was lower than any other wolf, and that means I will be a slave to an alpha. There was no way in the hell I was going to be some alpha's slave or puppet, I was so furious at her, this girl knows nothing more than to make my life miserable. "If I don't worth anything why would the alpha want me to be some alpha's slave," I retorted, I was about to continue talking but that was when she yelled. "Shut up trash, just because alpha Logan fancy you don't mean doesn't act as if he likes you," she growled before throwing me huge punches two of which managed to get to my lips. What does she mean? "Great!" she smirked at her handiwork. "That should teach you a lesson not to speak back to me." She let a small faked smile out on her lips and behaved as if nothing happened before walking around me gracefully. "My father is generous right?" she asked inspecting her nails, and I immediately knew that she was referring to the Alpha. "The alpha is," I bit my tongue, licking my swollen as I said it, I wish I could snap her head off her head for all the troubles she made me go through. But sadly I couldn't, I was a stupid wolfless trash of the pack and soon to be Alpha's slave. "If you need to know what's best for you, you will be the slave you are meant to be without any other motives!" her face was now stoic and a thick scowl etched on her face before sashaying out of the room. 'Thank goodness!' I heaved before leaning against the wall and my gaze flickered to the files out of curiosity, I grabbed it and opened the first page. I was shocked by what I saw, what Teresa had said was true, she wasn't just threatening or blabbering. The words were boldly written on top of the documents "slave contract" and everything became clearer now. Oh no, this must be a dream, a very bad dream.
