Skyler walked into the mansion with the red hood covering most of her face. Loud music vibrating through the walls and strobe lights were on the scantily clad bodies.
The dance floor took up 90% of the room but she still managed to keep her head down and move to the kitchen. Her eyes zeroed in on the cooler and scanned the drinks before reaching down to pull out a bottle of beer.
"Hey Little Red, want to let me ride your hood?"
Skyler's body tensed as she spun around.
Connor stood behind her wearing nothing but a pair of trunks with the words LIFEGUARD painted on.
"Go die," she hissed as she tried to move around him.
"Aww come on, you surely didn't come dressed up just to see Kelsy," he leaned over her and reached for her ass, "I know you want me."
Before he could touch her, she grabbed his wrist and kicked his calf, tripping him.
"Touch me again and I'll suffocate you with your own ego" she snapped.
"I'll get you, Skyler, just watch," he said with an embarrassed smirk when people noticed him on the ground.
"Whatever," she muttered before walking to a secluded space from the dancefloor. She snapped a quick picture to send to Ava before settling in.
Leaning against the wall, she nursed her beer and watched everyone dance. Spotting Kelsy dressed as a playboy bunny grinding on some freshman.
She cringed and looked away, suddenly the front door swung open and a small group of guys walked in. They caught her eye because she noticed a group of girls that were dancing near the door stop and turn to stare at them with hearts in their eyes and drool on their lips.
She couldn't see their faces properly but she could tell that they didn't notice the girls that were already following them as they weaved through the people.
Jaxon winced at the loud music and pushy girls.
Humans disgusted him, he has no idea why he or Xander allowed Aiden to talk them into doing this.
The other guys were bouncing in anticipation, but he was just looking for an easy way out. He couldn't stand one human how was he expected to be around a hundred of them, he just wanted to set the place on fire.
Jaxon took in the scene in front of him, gyrating bodies, loud music, cheap alcohol and frugal attempts to make rodent costumes look sexy. Humans were literally the stupidest race, even if he was half of one.
The pack moved further into the crowd, ignoring the stares. Suddenly something hit him so hard he almost stumbled back, through the alcohol and sweat, a scent so sweet and strong that made his mouth water.
Raspberries.
His eyes scanned the room, in search of the source while Aiden and Ethan left in search of drinks, the other guys hit the dancefloor.
A waft of the air from the open door moved the scent back to him, assaulting his senses.
Is someone handing out fresh raspberries at a party?
He went on his own journey, trying to follow the scent to a more isolated part of the house, then he saw her with her face covered by a hood, standing by the wall, watching the crowd.
Little Red Riding Hood.
Ironic.
He felt some weird outwardly force compelling him towards her, he had to get near her. Maybe she had eaten raspberries and he could smell it on her, maybe she'd tell him where he could get some.
Jaxon overlooked the fact that he picked up the scent over the smell of 100 other people.
He felt someone grab his arm and felt the urge to rip the arm off and throw it away. He glared at the girl holding him back.
"You're new, I've never seen you around. Want to dance?" Jaxon stared at the girl's attempt at dressing as a rabbit and smirked.
He leaned down and leveled his lips to her ear, "You're trying too hard, everyone can tell."
She stared at him in shock while he flicked her hand off him and headed to the girl with the raspberries.
When he got closer he felt a strange sensation flicker in his stomach, his head was spinning and he wondered what was happening when he didn't have a drop of alcohol in his system.
It felt like fireflies were fluttering inside his veins, he didn't realize that he had closed in on her and was already standing next to her, staring at her.
What the hell is going on with me?
Get it together, Jaxon.
Skyler tensed when she felt something suddenly burning in her stomach out of nowhere, she felt like sparks were sizzling up and down her body. She shifted uncomfortably and looked around, trying to find the source of the strange sensation.
It was making her heart beat speedily and her body twitch in anticipation. She turned and felt her head spin deliriously, a pair of bright purple eyes flashed at her. She felt the air around her ignite as she stared at the mysteriously tanned stranger.
Neither of them spoke but they exchanged gazes, she blinked at his purple eyes, she wanted to open her mouth and speak, but she couldn't find the right words.
Her breathing became heavier as she tilted her head back against the wall unable to keep her body up straight. The beer must have really taken a toll on her because she felt like she was flying all of a sudden.
She felt euphoric.
Jaxon pushed himself off the wall and stood in front of her, with barely an inch of space between them.
He found the sudden, unexplainable urge to get closer to her, to test the waters and try to figure out, what the hell was going on with him. That was before his mind went on autopilot and his body acted on its own.
"Wha--" Skyler's words cut off with an audible gasp when warm hands trailed up her neck. The second she felt his touch, her mind exploded.
She blinked at him and tried to take in his face, his eyes were sharp, purple and daunting. They didn't look warm nor lustful, they looked... cold and confused.
The look in his eyes didn't match the softness of his hands on her but his eyes were burning in.... irritation?
She couldn't place it, it was confusing her but she wasn't thinking properly herself.
In one swift movement, he yanked her neck towards him and crashed his lips against hers. She gasped and was about to push him away when she felt the sparks on her skin start to flicker hotter. He held the back of her head and nudged her lips with his.
It only took her a second before she kissed him back. She had no idea who the guy was but just this once she didn't care, it felt good.
Skyler ran her fingers through his soft dark hair and tugged on it, the guy lets out a deep, satisfied grumble that made her insides flutter and licked the bottom of her lip.
Jaxon needed more, a small moan escaped her lips as he stroked every inch of her mouth, making her shiver. He wrapped his tongue around hers and gave it a suck.
He had no clue what he was doing or why he was doing it. He had heard stories about wolves letting out their full moon energy on humans when they couldn't find their mates, but this just felt odd to him. He never saw himself as that type of wolf. He was bred as the prince, after 25 years, he never found himself behaving like this on a full moon.
He wasn't some sleazy male but it didn't feel like misplaced frustration, He's never had this issue before.
He felt his heart pick up speed but he didn't understand why it was like his chest and brain were both reacting differently.
She was just a random human, but I couldn't move away.
I wanted to stop but my body wasn't letting me.
Fuck. Who is this woman?
His hand reached up and pushed her hood down, without breaking the kiss. He cupped her face and caressed her cheek, his gentleness taking both of them by surprise.
He had a feeling he'd regret doing this the minute he got his head together, he knew it was a mistake.
Skyler felt her body race in the strangest, most foreign sense of ecstasy, she could barely keep up so all she could do was lean back and let him devour her, it was so wrong she knew it.
Ava told her to have fun, not make out with a complete stranger, she hated herself for doing this but it felt so good, it was the strangest and scariest thing.
She ran her fingers through his hair and heaved her eyes open, over his shoulder she could see people glancing at them, whispering while pointing.
Her hood was down.
They all knew she was there now and if that wasn't bad enough, they caught her kissing someone in public.
Shit.
She pushed the man away but it took a few shoves before he let go of her and stumbled back. He didn't meet her eyes and just focused on the floor while running his hand through his hair, looking utterly lost.
She looked around and noticed more and more people gathering around, staring. Kelsy stood off to the side with her arms crossed over her skimpy bunny outfit with a smirk on her lips.
"f**k," she whispered.
Jaxon jerked his head up when he heard her soft voice and saw the panic in her eyes. Something in him changed when he saw her eyes dart around anxiously, but all that was replaying in his mind was her voice.
He glanced over his shoulder and frowned when he noticed people staring at them.
"I have to go," she muttered, more to herself than to anyone else. She pushed past him and ran towards the front door, shoving her way through the moving bodies until she hit fresh air.
Jaxon stared at her vanishing figure before refocusing on the crowd of females that were surrounding him, wanting a bit of what she had.
He was still disoriented from everything that had transpired but the minute he saw his pack glaring at him, he knew he f****d up.
They pushed their way to him and pulled him out the door, girls gasped at the six of them, the serious looks on their faces, only making them look handsome.
Aiden dug his fingers into Jaxon's arm and threw him out the door.
"What the hell was that?" Xander snapped as they started moving away from the house.
Jaxon didn't answer and just kept walking, "Hey! We're talking to you since when do you pull s**t like that?" Aiden snapped, his eyes flashing an angry green.
"Is she your mate?" Ethan asked.
"No, of course not," Jaxon barked in annoyance, the wind started picking up, whipping angrily at the trees as his emotions started flaring.
Everyone was still staring at him, upset, until Caleb broke the silence.
"Was she a good kisser?"
Everyone let out a groan except for Ethan who just scoffed and walked away. Jaxon shook his head and licked his lips, he shivered when he could still taste the girl on his lips.
He tried to clear his mind but all he could remember was her flushed face and the twinge in his chest when he saw her running away.
When they got far enough, he let his frustration out and shifted. The other guys followed in silence, speeding past a dark deserted house in the woods, close to their cabin.
Skyler stood frozen by her door as she watches seven guys disappear and be replaced by seven wolves who ran away.
She shook her head before opening the door and letting herself in.
I'm never drinking again.
I'm starting to see things.
